called earlier this evening, being told that phone lines were open all night until 6am. I needed a taxi around 3.30am and was told if i phoned back around then there would more than likely be someone. the least i expected was someone to answer the phone when i started calling at 3am, which is late, i understand but when i initially called i was told the lines would be open. stayed calling for a half hour, crying about how i was getting home. eventually got diamond taxis to pick me up highly recommend, i have gone with them a few times. would have preferred to be told that they close when they close instead of an utter lie.
I called them and the woman on the phone told me that a taxi would pick me up in 15 minutes. I waited half an hour and there was no sign of a taxi so i called them back to see what was taking so long, the woman said that the taxi had already come and that the driver had waited on me to come out but I didn't so he left. She then said that she told the woman that ordered the taxi to wait outside for it which was a complete lie because i placed the order myself and i am a man and the only thing she told when i ordered the taxi was that it would be 15 minutes, nothing more. Next she called up the taxi driver on her radio for me to hear him say that he did come to pick me up and he even beeped the horn. This was an obsolute lie for two reasons, it was past 11:30 so it would have been illegal for him to beep his car horn in a built up area and I had was sitting at the front of the house looking out the window if he had shown up I would have definitely heard him if he beeped the horn, I would have also seen headlights which didn't. When I confronted them on their lies, the woman on the phone became really cheeky to me and refused to send another taxi. At this point I couldn't stand talking to her anymore so I hung up and rang euro cabs who actually showed up within 10 minutes and had much better customer service. After this incident i will never get a taxi from metro again.
Inept drivers who will gladly abandon their vehicles in the middle of one of the busiest junctions in town to pick up fares, bottlenecking the whole street in every direction. They park right at the traffic lights outside the Toby Jug making it nigh on impossible to turn right into Irish street from Culdee tripping sensors which stops traffic coming up or down Irish Street in either direction

You need a friendly taxi just call metro sure 2get u wer u wanna go
