I love Alix's yoga! She is a wise and gentle teacher in a great tradition of Scaravelli inspired yoga. I had classes with Alix's teacher, Marilyn, many, many years ago. I have since done all sorts of yoga but never found anything that chimes as well for me as this. Alix has taken the wisdom bound up in the tradition and added her own, warm, welcoming, accepting perspective to create sequences which, though gentle, have really profound effects, both physical and mental. I feel very lucky to have found her.
Alix is a wonderful, knowledgeable and warm-hearted yoga teacher. I’m always invigorated, relaxed and happy after each class. Her quality of teaching yoga is consistently on the same high level without enforcing anything and making everybody welcome to explore their own abilities. I looked a long time for a good yoga teacher - Alix is providing everything I ever wanted from a yoga teacher. I’ll stay with her forever.
Meridian Yoga classes are totally amazing. My favourite morning of the week! Alix creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere in her studio at The Centre of the Hills where she delivers 90 mins of gentle yet very powerful yoga, meditation and relaxation. With breathing and gentle movement stress and stiffness of mind and body melt away. I find the yoga practice to be comforting, strengthening, restorative, and energising with the addition of inspiring meditation.
Alex is a wonderful dedicated teacher - her classes are calming, uplifting, stretching and joyful - I always come away feeling invigorated and relaxed. I started Scaravelli yoga classes while on crutches following a serious pelvic injury many years ago - through yoga I learned to walk again without any aids and Alex’s classes now help me to remain supple. She is quite special!
Have been attending Alix’s yoga classes for over a year now. She has an amazing and unique gift and as soon as I hear her voice I completely relax and loose myself in the moment . I look forward to every class , each one bringing a new experience . So lucky to have discovered her .

I, as part of a group, have the pleasure of doing evening yoga sessions with Alix, and it is the most wonderful experience ever. Alix's yoga sessions are calming, restorative, peaceful, rejuvenating...you name it, and it is that! Alix seems to have an inner knowing of what we need! Each session is different, and I appreciate this variety and all the benefits it gives me, both physically and spiritually. Alix is very aware of us as individuals, and she is very mindful of our needs during the session. I am so very grateful to have joined Alix's yoga ...it gives me so much, and I feel so much better in myself since it came into my life! So, thank you Alix for your special qualities, and for bringing such joy and peace into my life xx and I know our group feel the same!
I can not recommend Alix’s yoga classes highly enough. As a newcomer, I was made to feel very welcome and feel very at ease in her classes. Alix is truly gifted, her voice and words take me into a deep meditative state and allow for an utterly sublime embodied experience. It's very special. Thank you Alix!
I've only been to three classes at Meridian yoga so far, but have been to many different types of yoga class in the past. What makes this experience different is the beautiful way Alex discribes the inner landscapes of our bodies. She transports you to with such poetic eloquence, it's truly a magical experience. Her way of introducing mindfulness into the simplest movement's is impressive. It's a totally relaxing experience and still challenges your core to excersice and stretch itself. Her teaching is knowledgeable and thoughtful. Highly recommended.
