Clean and tidy, and good value. Food good. Thought the restaurant menu a little limited, but ate in the bar on my last night, and that was fine. Bedroom fine. Issue with bathroom in that the shower screen was letting water by, flooding the floor. Informed reception of the issue.

We popped in for a bite of lunch on the way home and only ate in the bar. The bar is a nice informal area with a good selection of drinks and a specific bar menu with more snack like food options. The element that let it down slightly was the staff, whilst generally helpful the lady serving was pretty new and thus a little swapped, I did feel for her and thought that the management could have given her better support. Overall though, okay value, lovely seeing and nice food made for a good experience.

Bought a Groupon voucher, booked, drove 30 minutes to the hotel where my wife and I were supposed to have a two course meal. Were told (tactlessly) by staff that they don't take Groupons (without explanation) even though they had obviously put the deal up themselves. This was both embarrassing and time consuming. If management can't honour a deal they put up themselves then that's pretty poor. The place didn't smell too great either.

Had a fabulous meal at the Lambert last night. All members of our party were impressed. Everything was excellent. Food delicious and service could not be faulted. A lovely clean, and welcoming environment. Christmas decs were great without being over the top which added to the festive feel. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.
