We were 3 beginners at one of your 3 centres run by the same teacher. We complained to the Academy about the overall bullying treatment by the teacher who also had no respect for our "contractual" class time. Going to class became a nightmare each week as there was no avoiding sarcasms and put downs. However our complaint fell on deaf ears. No action was taken nor any feedback given to us until we rang to enquire two weeks later. Very disappointing and unacceptable for the fees charged and for an Academy of this size and reputation !
I have been with Meiquan for almost 5 years and highly recommend this school for Taichi and Qigong . The art of Taichi is obviously very beneficial to the body, but for me the revelation has been the effect this has had on my mind. This practice has helped me to deal with stress so much more effectively and fills me with quite an uplifted sense of being that feels like everything is going to be fine. I used to find meditation hard but Taichi and particularly Qigong has made it easier to reach those states as it's more of a moving meditation. Overall it's a great way to keep fit and to achieve a blissful mind in the process. Worth a try!
