Charged £40 for a shampoo that is £13 on Amazon with no guarantee that it will work for my dog, as they aren't sure on the actual cause of her issue. Was not informed this could be bought off the shelf at any point. Can't prebook appointments either, needed to call on the day!
Ever since they have been taken over by a new company they are awful. Almost killed the animal they were supposed to be treating. Take your business elsewhere. The animal this review was about initially did die due to the neglect/mistakes from this practice so have updated to reflect this
Took our much loved cat to medway city vets. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything for him and they had to put him to sleep. They were all so kind and caring at this difficult time and today we received this card from them. We are very grateful to them and would definitely recommend them
My parents saw the head vet about our dog’s stomach being very bloated, after ruling out gastric torsion he told us to keep an eye on him. They went back the next day and he felt his stomach, saying he couldn’t feel any fluid or gas etc and not to worry, making them feel like it was a waste of time going again even though we could definitely still feel it. He also didn’t offer any scans or blood tests. £95 for very short consultations! Our dog’s condition worsened a couple of days later so they went to a different vets as they didn’t have a vet at this clinic and she was very concerned and surprised he didn’t investigate further, after a scan they found a cancerous tumour and our dog had to be put to sleep. We couldn’t have done anything about the tumour however this was very poor service and made the situation a lot worse for our family.
Excellent care from this veterinary, for all our pets past and present , polite, kind , empathetic. Sadly to add today , I dont like the music in the waiting area, far too loud! Like a pub!! Surely something calming and quieter , I had to wait outside in the car as it was unbearable!!
I recently had to have my dog put to sleep. Belle was 15 and was just not able to carry on. She had lost all mobility. I was obviously deeply upset but I was overwhelmed with how respectful and caring the staff were. They went above and beyond for me and made the whole process less difficult than it needed to be. It’s the small touches that makes all the difference. I am extremely grateful to them all. Sx
Not sure where they get their pricing from probably the Queens Corgisbut I phoned a different vet for a second opinion for work needed on my dog and they was less than half the price of Medway City Vets ! SHOP AROUND!
On our sadest day saying goodbye to beloved dog Dexter they where very caring and sensitive and can't recommend this vets enough many thanks Mr and Mrs walker
very overpriced for what you get. I have found a better vets that are closer to me and are cheaper. you weren't able to go in with your pet when I was going there and it always felt rushed so you couldn't talk to the vet properly from the car the staff are polite enough but the telephone line can get busy which is a problem if you need to book an appointment I paid for the healthy pet club which was massively over priced for what you got so I wouldn't do that again as you basically pay £15 monthly for 12 monthd and you only really get a vaccine and some flea/worm treatment that is cheaper to buy online. I have phoned 3 times to cancel after I finished paying for the year and they keep saying they will cancel it but then continue to take money from my account. I would not recommend this vets. It isn't awful but it definitely wasn't worth the money in my opinion.
Just brilliant. I know all vets are expensive, but they do what they can to keep costs down, the medication I was prescribed was cheaper than other vets by quite some way, and Jose was so good with my cats, who are notoriously difficult. I can't imagine going to another vet.
