The care and support we’ve received from Van, Amanda and all of the staff has been fantastic.nOur cat recently had to get operated on having become unwell with a prolapse. One surgery was scheduled followed by an emergency surgery a few weeks after. Both of which were easy and stress free. We were comfortable and happy our cat was in safe hands with a team we can trust.nVan is incredibly knowledgeable, explains everything clearly and has the patience to answer questions and concerns.nAll of our insurance pre authorisations and claims were dealt with by the team which was super helpful during a stressful time.nAll of the staff are caring, understanding and accommodating.nWe have our yearly check ups for all of our cats and the service has always been amazing. We have never had an issue with getting appointments with slots available during evenings and weekends. The yearly reminder text is really helpful.nI would recommend Medivet Thorpe Bay to friends and family. We’ve had amazing care and service so far and will continue to use them in the future.
My little puppy Rosie goes to Medivet Shoeburyness. The guys in there are so friendly and welcoming, so I knew straight away she was in the best hands Roise was well looked after, told me everything I needed to know to look after her after her surgery. Brilliant service great staff, bloody big thumbs up
Friendly and informative receptionists. The vet was great, listening to what we had to say whilst handling our pets with expert care and asking sensible questions whilst giving sound advice.
Everyone at Medivet Downes are friendly and empathetic. I’ve been going for nearly 30 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Vann in particular is amazing with both the furry and human kind Highly recommend.
My dog went for a “simple surgery” and ended up dying from it! The vet said before he underwent it that he has a strong heart and no other issues that would cause the surgery to go bad so trusting what the vet was saying we underwent the surgery that cost over £5000 in the hopes that all are dogs little issues would be sorted and not cause him problems in later life! Anyway the vet said it all went well and then said we can see him and said he would be better off in the care of us at home so that’s what we done a day later he still was not eating and wasn’t acting himself he couldn’t take the painkillers that was given because he wasn’t eating so we took him back where they injected more “painkillers” and said he looks good and he will overcome it he’s just abit “out of it” an other day goes by my dogs in pain crying all night not sleeping so we took him back for them to say that he has got an infection and he will have to stay in under there care saying it’s serious later that day we get a phone call that he’s been put into a coma and is on a drip when we went to see him he was out of it and obviously not aware of what was going on as he was knocked out cold… the vet said he may improve but it doesn’t look great anyway why we had a family member stay with him we went back home to get a couple bits by the time we got into the door we had the phone call that are boy was no longer with us and had passed away! The vets was very un trustworthy and told us nothing but lies from the get go! All a money making task that they Cleary don’t care about the outcome of the dog or any other animal if the vets can’t do a simple job then why would they take such job on ! Disgusted is an understatement!!! Nothing will ever bring him back and now we have to live with wishing that we didn’t bring him there in the first place! Please please do your research on your dogs issues before you take them to the vet because it’s clear they haven’t got your pets best intrest at heart !
