Disgusting. We had our dog put to sleep at Medivet Southend when he suddenly showed signs of illness and scans revealed something more serious. During this distressing time, reception staff were giggling and behaving unprofessionally despite being aware of what was going on. They showed no sympathy or compassion when extending a hand for our debit card. The vet failed to listen to our instructions and lost his belongings (a blanket, the only physical thing he had and loved due to bring a rescue dog, that we had requested to collect with his ashes). They even got another customers paperwork including personal information mixed up with ours, causing a breach of data protection! No amount of explaining or complaining to higher ground has made any difference, nobody has been held accountable and no effort to rectify the problems they caused has been made. The single worst customer service experience I have ever been misfortunate enough to encounter. Avoid this practice and it's incompetent staff at all costs!

Couldn't be more thankful to the people there for all their help with my poor dog, however now that it's come to the bill they couldn't be any worse.
We had taken my dog in the early hours to this vets before due to his heart condition which caused him to cough a lot and the guy was absolutely amazing. Sadly though in the early hours of boxing day, I had to rush him to the vets as he was extremely ill and sadly succumbed to his illness that night. I had to make the decision  no one had to make however he passed before i could give my definite answer. The vets however still administered the Injection and see how charging us for this along with his cremation - we have refused to pay for the Injection due to him passing before this was given however they will not allow any amendments and will not give us his ashes. To say I'm mortified is an understatement

GREAT Vets really helpful staff and the vet I visit with my dog who is nervous , they treat him with great skill and helpful advice and clearly explained.
