This had to be the worst place I’ve ever been in. We had booked a table and they clearly didn’t have any idea of what we had booked. We were greeted with the coldest of greetings I’ve ever come across. We eventually sat down looked at the menu and went up to the bar to order. It was like we were really putting them out, no smile, no hello nothing! The food eventually arrived after 1 hour and 20 minutes we only ordered burgers and lasagne nothing that isn’t done in a microwave. All our food was disgusting. The burgers were burnt to a crisp my friends couldn’t even eat the bun it was rock hard. Anyway it was the first time there for all of us and we all agreed never again! In total with drinks we spent around £100 that wouldn’t have been a problem if all was good but no it certainly wasn’t! The staff seemed so miserable and seemed they were struggling to even give you a smile . People came in after us and were served, ate and gone while we had only just been served and I think the only reason we got our meals was because my friend went up to ask were our food was.. We did stay after we ate for a few drinks & all regret we spent more in there. We only went there cause The Alt was closed due to renovationnWe have all agreed we will never go back there. I honestly don’t like giving these types of reviews it’s not really my thing but this ruined our afternoon.
I have been the meadows many times and it’s never disappointed, service is always extremely good and the staff are always so helpful nothing is ever too much bother! Staff are always smiling and laughing. Food came very quick considering it was very busy we waited no longer than 20 minutes, food was cooked well exactly what you would expect from “pub food” it’s no fancy Michelin star but I didn’t expect that, all of us were extremely happy with the food and stayed after for drinks as the atmosphere was so great! Would definitely come back again!!
Really nice place to eat ... nice friendly staff .... and they have a decent menu .... the lemon waffles are yum
I was with my husband, we had a meal each, he had the fish and chips and I had the hunters chicken, we can really recommend both meals, but mine was so delicious, well certainly come back here, thank you to Annie for a great service
Another great visit to the Meadows Pub. Kayleigh is always polite and welcoming, and the service is immediate every time we come in. The food is always nice, especially when it’s served by Jose. If there are ever any issues, the team are more than happy to resolve them straight away. It’s also a really nice, clean environment, which makes it an easy place to relax and enjoy a meal. Definitely recommend!
