Ying Wah has been serving authentic Chinese food to the local Woolton community for over 30 years, making it one of the longest established Chinese Restaurants in Liverpool. Born and raised in Woolton Simon Ng and his family feel proud to belong to such a warm, caring community. Ying Wah continues to be a family run business situated in the heart of Woolton Village.

Awful, awful meal. Other reviews have given favourable reviews but my experience was the total opposite - it was the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was so thick and jelly like the spoon could stand up in it. The spring rolls appeared to be filled with a similar jelly like substance, but a lurid orange colour. I could not guess what was in it as there was no taste. We had crispy chicken (hard and rubbery) and sweet and sour chicken (horrible). We also had ribs and a beef dish which I did not try. The only tasty items were the fried rice and noodles. This was a take out meal for six. I would have returned to the restaurant with the meal and asked for my money back but as we had guests I did not do so. I will not be returning.

Had one nice meal here. But wouldn't recommend going after the last few. Sub standard food and not great service.
