The carvery is excellent value for money with a really wide selection to choose from. Three or four different meats and lots of vegetable dishes. Well worth a visit. They also offer really great lunch options and quick snacks and a wide range of drinks. All in all a great place to go with friendly and welcoming staff

Friendly, homely place. Really nice carvery meals, vegetables not always perfectly cooked, however always enjoyable. Staff are friendly and attentive and one of their chefs (sorry don’t have the name!) is extremely energetic and joyful. Only downside I’d say is the loudness of the kids section; seated next to it or not, you can hear the toys/mini rides going off all the time. Mind you, if you have kids this could be perfect.

A large restaurant with a fixed menu or with a carvery on a Sunday only. Serves Breakfasts, lunch and dinner. The Maypole has a very large selection of ice cream flavours to choose from and a large selection of cakes as well. These are usually on show in the display cabinets next to the bar. My experience of eating there has always been pleasurable with friendly bar staff and waiters/waitresses. Good quality food as well. Disabled parking and accessibility is always available.

Half decent. On the few occasions we as a family have been it is generally dirty tables and floors , staff don't look too enthusiastic about being there! Kids love the play area when there isn't an over 5yr old running the kids over...

Go here regularly as very local to home. However, never know what experience you’ll Get! When it’s good food is good. Carvery meat is generally good but the veg can be very indifferent. Burgers off main menu are excellent. Wife loves the Mac & cheese here too. Service is always slow, but genial so if you’re in a hurry......
