Flawless. Wonderful welcome, great room, delicious breakfast... couldn't put a foot wrong. Through chatting with the owners it came out that our 2 year old is an early riser and loves shreddies. Cereal was made available earlier than normal and they even bought a box of shreddies for us... first class!

Perfect place to stay in the week during a work trip. Breakfast is perfect and every need is catered for. Rooms are large and comfortable with nice en suites. There is free WiFi available and printing services too. Location is perfect with the train station a five minute walk away with connections to either Reading or London. The M4 motorway is within easy reach. Local area is lovely, nice to walk or cycle around, especially the Dinton Pastures country park which has an oasis of woodland, meadow and lakes to adventure through. Mayfield's is also within easy reach of Wokingham and Reading. Overall a top Guesthouse that has that homely feel and who's prices are to cheap for the quality they offer. Lesley and Paul are the perfect hosts and I cannot wait to stay again.

We stayed at Mayfields Guest House for 5 days during the February snowstorms. Living in Spain we are no longer used to this type of weather and so having driven from Gatwick through sheeting snow it was lovely to have such a warm welcome from Lesley and Paul. Warm in the literal sense as well as our room was delightfully cosy after experiencing the white out outside. We are always made to feel so welcome that Mayfields has virtually become our home whilst in the UK. We stay on average every 2 months and have done so for the past 3 years to see our daughter and granddaughter. It is inconceivable for us to stay anywhere else and for this reason we are booked well ahead for this year. The rooms, all named after local rivers, are spotlessly clean and comfortable with equally immaculate bath/shower rooms but what is an especial treat for us are Lesley’s breakfasts which set you up for the day. Lesley makes the breakfast room, utensils and a microwave available for guests wishing to avail themselves of a premade evening meal purchased from the local Sainsburys supermarket or elsewhere. For us this is an especial bonus saving as it does the cost of dining out every evening. Mayfields is located in a quiet cul de sac in Sindlesham. However, it is very convenient for access to the Motorway system and Winnersh, the local train station, is only a few minutes walk away. It is possible to take a train direct from Gatwick airport to Wokingham and then a 10 minute train ride to Winnersh. There are several country parks in the area including Wellington Country Park and the renowned Nervana Spa Centre is only a few minutes walk away. At Mayfields there is ample off street parking for guests. As we left the snow was clearing and the daffodils were appearing on the front lawn. As always our stay was perfect and I thoroughly recommend Mayfields Guest house unreservedly

I have stayed in many guesthouses and hotels due to travelling the UK for work, and May Fields is comfortably the nicest one I have stayed in out of the all. The rooms are immaculate, modern and comfortable. The breakfast is lovely and the house itself in a great location. The owners are lovely people and make you feel welcome, they couldn't be more accommodating. The place is a home away from home.
