The Hotel is tucked within the green leafy part of Reading, the surrounding environments makes you feel ready to relax and destruct yourself within this lovely hotel. Staff are friendly especially from the the kitchen, health suite team and Hospitality team [under staffed], but continue  working  tirelessly with the effort to ensure your experience is meet to its best. 

The hotel location is Excellent for family breaks, the room standards are excellent,  happy to hear the health suite is being given attention next week hence if this TLC could be extended to some bathrooms within rooms as well. 

Rooms have a modern feel excellent decor, while the corridors reminds you of the heritage loved every story behind the pictures. Excellent work.

Guest are given prompt reassurances which is excellent work.

We are grateful & appreciate the team for organising a successful Easter Egg Hunt  event, within your lavish grounds. Thank you for meeting the little Guest hearts' expectations, Best family  break event Excellent +++

Food quality excellent served with caring and bubbly team, to the lady supervisor excellent work great respect to you and your team.

Lovely spa weekend for my friends 50th. Fantastic staff in the breakfast area. Breakfast was wonderful. Bedrooms really spacious and comfortable. Only downside was the spa/ pool area was overrun with babies doing a swimming class. We should have been informed on booking as it wasn't really a relaxing spa with screaming babies and a really annoying teacher!!!! Other than that spoiling it, it was an amazing weekend

A was very impressed. Not the cheapest by any stretch but the staff were amazingly polite and helpful even with some strange event requests, the room was spotless and tucked away In a quiet spot.
Only bind was the extortionate bar costs.

Very good value for money. Great rooms and breakfast pretty good too! Highly recommended after a drunken night in town.

Terrible customer service! We were booked to stay at this hotel for a wedding - which, owing to adverse weather conditions, we were sadly unable to travel to. In spite of this being an 'act of God', the hotel refused to offer a refund (in spite of being given 24 hours notice) and chose not to even offer an exchange of date. Appalling customer service and treatment of potential guests - and I know from experience that other hotels would have handled this very differently. It is only when things go wrong that you get a true picture of the ethos of an establishment - and this one is definitely not customer-friendly. There is always something that can be done to help customers who stand to lose a substantial amount of money through no fault of their own - and saying 'Not my problem!' is not the attitude that a well-established hotel should be aspiring to. Needless to say, we will not be booking here ever again and I would strongly discourage anyone else from doing so as well.
