Used them since my junior county days. I'm 41 now so don't have to visit as often but they've always been super supportive, friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to making purchases of my badminton stuff. A real family run business. The only yonex partner in Birmingham too so they can get racquets replaced under warranty if they break on court. Can't fault em.
The two gentleman were very helpful in advising me on what string to have in my racket and what tension to go for. It’s been a long time since I had a racket restrung and I would definitely recommended this shop for stringing and rackets.
Extremely poor service. Ordered a new racquet 2 weeks ago, recommended by coach at Blossomfield Tennis Club. Was promised delivery and tracking info by end of week, still waiting . Rang yesterday for update. Still not dispatched but no one seems to know why. Taken my money but still no racquet.The guy I spoke to yesterday hasn’t even called me back with an update after promising to chase it up. Shocking service and don’t recommend at all. If I could leave zero stars I would.
Great selection of rackets and clothes. I bought a pair of tennis shoes today and the staff were very helpful and patient letting me bring my dog into the store and try on multiple pairs. Would 100% recommend to tennis and badminton enthusiasts!
Very disappointing visit. I went specially to get advice and potentially purchase an expensive tennis racquet. However the gentleman there was unable to help. Advised me to come back a different day. The store was also quite messy and didn't fill me with confidence. I overheard that the store has changed ownership recently and are having a few staffing issues. I'm quite upset as this place was highly recommended.
Extremely poor service.I had heard good things about this shop and hence ordered a racket online. It’s been nearly two weeks since I have paid and there is no update. I have tried calling multiple timesat least 5 times a day for 3-4 days but no response. Have emailed them but no response. Will never buy or try getting anything from here. If I could give them zero stars, I would.
I like the new shop, good layout and products are well presented. Friendly and efficient service, i used M&R when they were at Kings Heath and will continue to use them at their new location.
Extremely welcoming staff, who will try everything in power to help you get the racket/product best suited for you. Personally, couldn't be happier with the products I bought, and would highly recommend the shop to anyone. I will definitely be visiting in the future, despite being at the other end of the country!
I restrung a few rackets here, not being from the area. Received amazing advice on rackets, strings and local clubs. Also because I was restringing a racket for a friend who'd been furloughed and a bit pinched for cash, they upgraded the strings for no charge. Nice people, very knowledgeable - what more could you want.
It's an utter disgrace what the local council have inflicted on those businesses with the bollards blocking access on around York Road. This shop is the go to place for racquet sport enthusiasts. They have expertise from a very helpful family business, with unique services like raquet re-stringing. Prices are reasonable and competitive, add the invaluable advice available, this shop and its people are an institution to many. High Streets and councils should not undervalue the need for niche businesses where all of the above inspire people not to shop online but to visit areas and enjoy other amenities along the way.
