Unfortunately Matalan still think women are smaller than they actually are. It's extremely difficult to find larger sizes, but if I was a 12 or 14 I would be able to find racks upon racks of these sizes. That says to me that larger sizes sell out far quicker than 12 or 14s so why not hold more larger sizes and less of the other. Even online it's hit and miss, more miss than hit if I'm totally honest. When I've been lucky enough to find something to fit I really like their clothes and prices, but you do let the larger lady down. It's not the 1980s anymore, women have evolved!!!
Nice clean shop. Very frustrating when you pop in for something that's near the entrance you have to go to the other end of the store to tills that are tucked out of the way. Not the best idea.
Whoever thought of putting the checkouts as far away from the exit as possible and the customer services so far around the corner and nowhere near convenient exceedingly inconvenient if you're in a wheelchair with use walking I really ought look of how this policy is inclusive, while you're at it take away the staff at automatic tills and put some stepsnPlay music that really screws with your hearing aids and you may not trade with anybody that is not fit young and healthy
Do you want to be ignored by vacant faced sales assistants? Would you like to buy a product from a display, only to be told it's not for sale? How about meeting rude, unhelpful staff? If the answer is yes to any of these questions....then Matalan at Basildon is the place for you!nA truly awful shopping experience could be waiting for you! Off to Dunelm to spend my money there instead......
Nice shop but the young girl on till very rude asked a question which I would have understood if she had spoken clearly instead of mumbling so when I said pardon she looked and shook her head as though I was stupid terrible customer service
