We had a takeaway Friday 6/9/2024 as we're unable to sit in as originally manned. This was our first visit. Greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Even gave me a pair of reading glasses for the menu as I had forgotten mine. The food was excellent and was still piping hot when we got home as we live a good 15 miles outside of Maryport. Would highly recommend
First visit and very impressed with the warm, friendly welcome. Food and service were great and reasonably price. We had a most enjoyable evening.
Sorry to put a downer on the place but we booked and ate with another couple recently. We eat Indian food quite often so I can say this place is nothing to get excited about. The sauces on our different meals were quite thick and all tasted very similar as though they came from a jar! nnHow it gets awards I have no idea. We have 3 Indian restaurants in our home town and all of them are a either better or vastly better than this one. I guess it's down to the lack of competition but if I lived locally, I'd rather get a takeaway from elsewhere.nIt's also a little pricey.
We staying over a caravan park and were on the look out for some delicious food after a long 300+ miles of journey. Found this one pretty close to our place so without a second thought we rushed as it was already 9pm and most of the restaurants were closed or about to. We got a warm welcome, they even told Kitchen closes 9:45 but we would wait till you enjoy your meal which is so kind of them. We ordered some tandoori king prawns, tandoori chicken and hara bhara kebab. Tabdoori’s were so delicious but not too much happy with hara bhara kebab as to me it was like omelettenever seen this before. For the mains we did some kulcha naan, garlic naan, chef’s special shylet chicken and chicken mosala and bhindi masala,they were all soo good specially the shylet chicken given with boiled egg. I would definitely recommend to someone at Maryport or near maryport and do try there kulcha naan that was awesome and for four people it was just £96 which I say it is cheap.
Love their food. Always hot and tasty. Can be a lil pricey but the food is so nice every time so I don't mind paying for quality.
