Lovely cafe in the Yorkshire Dales, drink as much tea as you want, good selection of light meals and beautifully looking cakes. Be patience as the gentleman may be on his own, after all you are out in this lovely setting to relax. Owner very friendly and helpful, toilet up a few stairs, but if you can't manage those, there are toilets opposite on the flat. Spectacular views near the river, and drive over the moors through Muker, Simondale to Hawes.

Can't comment on food as customer service notably absent. The owner (?) was serving a party of 4, and totally ignored us for some 10 minutes; at this stage we walked out when he then shouted at us "Don't you want anything?". Well politeness for one thing, such as at least acknowledging our presence, but we were totally blanked for the whole time we were there. No way to encourage business; fortunately pub opposite was far more welcoming. When new customers sit down, a "Hello, I'll get to you shortly" counts for a lot.
