Pizza tastes like supermarket off the shelf, but does the job. Frozen crust and mediocre toppings. Beers were standard
Went for the first time in a while - it wasn’t a great experience. Ordered 2 Pizzas - worst tasting cardboard I have had in a while. Could probably rather use it as a frisbee. One they squirted a sauce over to add flavour to it but by no means did it. Happy to pay more for a bottle of wine in a pub but paid £20 for the cheapest bottle of Pinot Grigio... Just an all round no, never going back
Bar staff were all pleasant and friendly, great atmosphere, comfortable and spacious inside. Pizza was really tasty and I had no issues customising it to sub out a topping I didn’t like with something different. Staff were kind enough to bring my little dog some chicken and a bowl of water. Will be back! Thanks!
Great bar. They always have a good selection of local beers on tap and lots of different gins. I love watching the footie in the heated booths out back Friendly staff. 5
Great neighbourhood pub, excellent selection of beer. I was served by Alex who was happy to let me have tasters and talk about what beer to recommend. Pizza and a drink deal on weekdays is great value, also ideal for watching sports.
Great location, really friendly staff, and they're open on days when everything else in the area is closed. However the food and beers really let them down. I'm sure the pizzas used to be good years ago when I visited, but now they seem like supermarket frozen pizzas. The beers are pretty standard, which is a shame given how close they are to the fantastic breweries on the bermondsey beer mile they didn't have any local beers there when I visited.
Pizza was really, really bad, frozen crust and cheap toppings, tasted like nothing. Supermarket pizzas are better. Atmosphere is decent and nice back garden. But don't waste your money on food!
My fave pub ever. I used to come here as my work local and now I live nearby I come here even more. It was actually the selling point for me when picking my next flat. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, special shout outs to Killian, Kai, Alex, Mika and Grace. I feel so safe in this pub and welcome all the time. It’s a lovely local pub but also has great vibes on busy nights too. Can’t recommend this place enough, I bring everyone I know here. As a woman, it’s an amazing feeling to feel safe and I can assure you, you will feel that here. They don’t tolerate rude customers which I appreciate because a lot of pubs will put money first and accept rudeness but genuinely this pub is all about nice people. It’s got great prices, food, drinks and people. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
Pub needs a lot of love. Holes in walls, old dirty chairs and tables looked like they were found in a skip. Flies everywhere. Only 2 ladies toilets and one was blocked. Staff didn't seem to be the happiest, but they were all polite, helpful and quick. Glasses were clean and drinks were good beers a little on the pricy side Pizzas were mediocre but expected considering they're made by bar staff who I doubt have proper kitchen training. A decent experience - would be better with some renovations & upkeep.
Nice place, good music, definitely would encourage you to try the pizzas! Let's just say we had a good time!
