Beautiful garden centre! Such a big variety of gorgeous flowers. It also has a lovely children's play area just beside the cafe area!
Just returned from a lovely afternoon tea at Dobbies Marple. On entering the cafe we could see our table reserved ..and we had a lovely welcome from everyone and made to feel very special . Nothing was too much trouble....the sandwiches and cakes were lovely but the scones are the highlight. They were fresh from the oven ...and huge ! So delicious . We had come to test Dobbies out for our family Christmas afternoon tea and they have certainly passed with flying colours. We can't wait to come back. The staff are really lovely ...we always notice this everytime we come . A big thank you.
Train ride and visit to Santa. The little ones, as well as the adults loved it. Was looking forward to the excellent food normally on offer, but head chef was off, so cake only unfortunately. Still nice day had by all.
Good range of products and reasonably priced. Cafe is nice although the toasties we had were a little under toasted. Would love it if they had a larger BBQ/Smoker section but that's just personal preference!
In terms of what they sell fantastic. But when you're in the cafe at dinner time and you want to buy some dinner for yourself and your family, and you get told we're not selling food, there's a sign over there. In which the sign mustn't have been that clear since a lot of people were met with the same response, It's really disappointing, especially on a weekend when most people will be there. I'd say , go there for the products but don't expect much from the cafe as its been a bit poor the last few times we've been.
Went for breakfast in the café today, only to find that there was no hot food, even toast, available "as there was no chef". Do you need to be a chef to operate a toaster? Amazing! Not everyone wants cake or biscuits at 9:45 in the morning. BTW, the young ladies serving were great, as always.
No cafe open for hot food. But the store is well designed and good stock. Reason we went there my daughter and son and husband love the food in the cafe.we was visiting from London for the day. . . Apparently best breakfast around
Well stocked with a pretty decent range of plants and the usual garden centre card and gift offerings. Prices were relatively high - apparently if you have one of their loyalty card you get 10% off.
Brilliant place! My partner and I took our daughter and 4yo twin grandsons to visit Santa. We looked at other places to take the boys but they are booked months in advance and cost a fortune just to see Santa. At Dobbies we let them take the little train to Santas grotto which was under £8 each. While they waited in a pretty short line I got to go shopping! They have such beautiful decorations for sale. The Christmas scents were 20% off. Great selection of toys. I finally found bags of Pfeffernüsse! What a treat! Fantastic day out Dobbies! Only disappointment was no hot food in the cafe. We had to take them somewhere else for lunch. We would have loved making it a whole day at Dobbies.
Called in for a quick browse at plants , ended up buying more than necessary, safety measures in place ,staff friendly and helpful too , bought a few gifts for stocking fillers sad person that I am reasonably priced and not over the top , dog friendly too
