We went there as a birthday celebration and the service was very excellent, These wasn't any rush even though we did booked ahead, there is lot of parking space only for 3 hr and the ambiance was extremely nice. The lamb dinner was nice.it was a nice big meal. Also the prawn cocktail I enjoyed. What I didn't like was the menus were sticky and should have been wiped. The service was good although a glass was smashed at one point which was a bit alarming. We did order a couple of rounds of drinks and felt the starter was bit overpriced.
The lamb dinner was nice.it was a nice big meal. Also the prawn cocktail I enjoyed. What I didn't like was the menus were sticky and should have been wiped. There were marks on the chair also. The service was good although a glass was smashed at one point which was a bit alarming. Also I went to the loo but when I got there the toilet was almost overflowing with water and toilet paper with blood on it. It made me feel sick especially in the middle of a meal. It would have been better to close this and put a note on to advise to use ones on the lower floor instead which I ended up doing. My dessert was nice and coffee was fine apart from no milk being delivered. I think there was a problem with the payment machine but worked after a couple of times.
Great place for breakfast, all you can eat continental style... the cooked stuff you do have to order but you can order what you want, everything else you help yourself to. Ceariels, muffins , pancakes , fresh fruit, fruit salad, crumpets just to name a few, unlimited tea coffee and juices too. Side note there's 2 free places for kids also in each adult breakfast. They are happy to take walk in, no booking or reservation from the hotel needed. The only downside is the eating area is upstairs and there isn't a standard lift. There is one though attached to the side of the stairs. Kid-friendliness: Always treat my grand children well. Parking: Reasonable amount of parking available around the building, you do have to log in your registration when you enter. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the first floor. You can eat on the ground floor in the bar area if you wish. There isn't a standard lift but there is one that's attached to the side of the stairs for disabled use much like a home stair lift.
Bamford arms Breakfast cooked perfectly! Sound staff coordinated by Laura the Manager who is a model professional. Lunch and evening meals are cooked well too, also crisp fresh beers.
Took a visit to this place last night with the girlfriend and 2 kids my kids was slightly noisy but can’t be helped and one left a mess sorry again the food was absolutely incredible and great for the value of money I’d definitely return here as I loved it and the window seat was great for my little lad who’s obsessed with cars and trucks he loved it thankyou
We both had Nachos to start with, then double burger and chips. Both enjoyed it very nice.
Food was delicious, service was prompt. Staff were attentive to details and happy to serve. Been there a few times, Great service every time I've beenFood: 5/5
Met friends there who were staying overnight. We had dinner. I ordered beer battered fish & chips. The batter was a bit chewy, but it was overall OK. It was quiet, staff were chatty and welcoming and a nice evening. Parking: Off the main A6 it has pub parking to the front and parking for Premier Inn round the side.
The staff were just great and so helpful with my disabled Mum. Building design was unfortunately not the best. A stair lift got us so far but there were 3 steps up to the reserved dining area and 3 steps down to the toilets, not wheelchair accessible. Parking: Up to free hours if eating or staying there Wheelchair accessibility: Some provisions, access on ground floor, stair lift to the upper floors but still 3 more steps to negotiate and no accessible toilet up there?
Absolutely awful! Dreadful service , far too expensive for such small portions, not what was described on menu. I will never ever eat here again! Waitress dropped my bread on the table, scooped it up and put it back on my plate! 5 prawns in a prawn cocktail, the tiniest dish of cannelloni i have ever seen kiddies portions were bigger! big fat undercooked chips instead of skinny fries as described , a miniscule blob of burger sauce on the build your own burgers and dessert we gave up waiting for and left ! Foul language from bar staff too! Not impressed at all!
