The Maroush Bakehouse

At the heart of the Lebanese meal, there is bread, so it’s no wonder that when it comes to mastery of the baker’s oven, the Lebanese have a magical touch.

At Maroush Bakehouse, traditional Lebanese Khobez (Lebanese flat breads) and savoury and sweet pastries are expertly created and served to eat in or take away, alongside fabulous Lebanese mezza, soups, salads, grills, stews and desserts.

You can even watch the Khobez being mixed and baked whilst you eat, through the huge glass bakery window at the back of the restaurant.

We enjoyed a delicious first time meal here, the Hummus was absolutely delicious, so much so it didn’t survive before the mains arrived and the photos were taken! Everything was tender and wonderful to eat.Food: 5/5

DO NOT MISS THIS RESTAURANT! The food was incredible! And the staff was efficient, attentive and polite! Mohammad was friendly and kind! Prices are reasonable! I only wish we didn’t have to travel across the pond from the US to get here! Food so good we ate it all!!Food: 5/5

Very nice good at reasonable prices. I had the Mediterranean lamb, which was very tasty and well cooked.  I was attended at the table by Nikita, and was delighted by chef Rami.

I ordered mixed grill and it was served with nice bread and it was filling. The meat was tender and tastes authentic. I come from a Mediterranean country so I know what mixed grill should taste like. The waiting staff were very friendly and smiling. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5

We ordered 3 mixed Shawarmas and 1 lamb shawarma with chips on the side. The food was really good. However the service was atrocious. The “assistant” manager messed up our order, he forgot one of the chips and brought out a chicken shawarma instead of the lamb. They eventually got out the correct order after we mentioned this to them. After we finished the food, we didn’t want to pay for the service charge, so I asked him to remove it. The “assistant” manager told us he couldn’t do that as the manager was not in and he told us as we sat in and ate he cannot remove this. This is really unacceptable as I’m sure that is breaking the law to deny our rights to decline to pay for the service charge after he messed up our order. This man is a thieving scumbag, I would not go back to this place just because of this experience.  Dietary restrictions: Halal friendly
