The Maroush Bakehouse

At the heart of the Lebanese meal, there is bread, so it’s no wonder that when it comes to mastery of the baker’s oven, the Lebanese have a magical touch.

At Maroush Bakehouse, traditional Lebanese Khobez (Lebanese flat breads) and savoury and sweet pastries are expertly created and served to eat in or take away, alongside fabulous Lebanese mezza, soups, salads, grills, stews and desserts.

You can even watch the Khobez being mixed and baked whilst you eat, through the huge glass bakery window at the back of the restaurant.

I’m only not giving this place 5stars as Maroush 21 is my favorite. Otherwise the food is great and just what you need when in central looking for a quick eat of some healthy tasty Lebanese food. At this branch they bake the bread fresh behind a glass screen while you dine. Staff are polite and welcoming! Food about £20 a head.

Wow. Amazing food! The humous was just perfect. Everything in fact: lentils, tomato, string beans, crispy falafels, mint tea, gerkins, warm bread. I don't post much on google maps but this was just so good, I had to. Don't miss out ;-

Food quality is nice. But they reduced the dish size compared to before.

My wife and I got brunch here on our last day in London largely because the pastry display in the window was so beautiful. We weren't disappointed. She got the Bakehouse Breakfast, was a delicious Lebanese take on a full English, and I got the Lahem Meshwi with garlic chili sauce which might have been even tastier.

So far the best coffee I've had since visiting from the US... The egg and cheese croissant was delicious... But be cautious of the egg omelette unless you prefer to have a bit of egg with your salt 

Had a great Arabic breakfast there!
