Not often I score 5 stars, but this place has it nailed. Friendly welcoming guy behind the bar, good selection of real ales, had fish, chips & peas, was well cooked, hot and a good size portion. Came with all the condiments, and I didn't expect barman to check my meal was ok as I'm sure he knew it was but he did! Background music varied but not too loud which created a nice warm atmosphere. Friendly comfortable pub that welcomes all.

Just had Sunday roast here ,it was lovely ,can't recommend enough ,I had half chicken,the wife had pork all lovely

Nothing special food was bland and simple. Sticky tables and the whole pub us scruffy

What a find!friendly place and great food.The sea bass was beautifully  cooked ,lots of fresh vegetables, and nicely presented. What was also refreshing was the complete understanding  of the need for gluten free food.Definitely happy to recommend.

Very friendly little pub landlord & his wife  made me feel welcome, will definitely return.

If you haven't tried Sunday roast you really should  beautiful home cooked food and fresh veggie. Sides Inc cauliflower cheese. Recommended!

What a sad dismal place since the new owners have taken over. They really should have stayed in Brighton, the Malipins used ot be nice, now with these muppets is, completely downhil. Shuts when you least expect it to, the lager tastes sour and the interior is more drab than chic,
