See photos attached - olde world fish & chip shop & restaurant. Service was fairly quick, but they were busy. A call back system card that vibrates is used to take outside & wait. Can’t wait inside as the area to order is tiny.nFairly good prices - chips can be battered…fish was a good size. Options for children’s meals. No kebab meat. Would recommend.
What a fab chippy! I never even knew it was one until a few weeks ago, when mum and I came across it one Saturday afternoon. We'd had a look around a few of the charity shops and were stopping off for a bit of lunch. At first we were looking at how busy the cafe around the corner was, as they offered gluten free options. However there were quite a few people in there, so we decided to head around the corner and voila! Mum noticed Market Place Fish and Chips. We had a look through the window and noticed that they offered gluten free options from Monday to Thursday. We decided to ask about this and the young chap behind the counter said that they'd be able to do a gluten free fish, chips and mushy peas no problem, which was really nice of them. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but that's totally understandable as everything is cooked fresh to order so the wait is well worth it. The portions were super and there's no leaving hungry from there! They did a sterling job with the gluten free fish, chips and mushy peas for my mum even got out the gluten free vinegar which was superb and much appreciated! We sat outside with the weather being lovely and mild, but they also have a restaurant bit too for those wishing to sit inside.nnWas thoroughly impressed with Market Place Chippy and will DEFINITELY be back for more! Great food and great staff! Keep up the brill work! :
