Stayed for 2 nights as part of a wedding party and I genuinely cannot fault the hotel.nnLocated right on the waterfront with its own dedicated off street parking. The sea view rooms to the front of the building you can leave the windows open and listen to the waves as they lap against the shore.nnWe stayed in the silver room and it had everything you could need for a short break away and even included a jacuzzi and all for a very reasonable rate per night.nnThe staff were lovely to a fault and the food was all well cooked, if not overly fancy, that added to the charm.nnWill definetly return.
I was visiting Aberystwyth to see some family who reside there. I booked Gwesty'r as it had excellent reviews and it did not disappoint. On arrival, check in was straight forward as you input the required details in advance via a link. After some confusion of where our room was located the hotel comprised of 3 separate buildings, we managed to settle it. The room was a nice size and at the back so it was lovely and quiet. It was a little outdated, the carpet had stains on it which I assume is why they place people who have dogs; in them, and some parts were loose in the bathroom. The bed was very comfy and we both slept soundly with no disturbance whatsoever. The bar was nice, staff was friendly and the beer was a good price. The breakfast was delicious, it was freshly cooked and there was copious amounts of everything to ensure they could cater to all needs. It was a stunning day and the hotel is located on the promenade which provided beautiful views. I'd only say that it was a tad expensive for one night £130.50, £10 each for a breakfast, plus the £15 for the dog, so couldn't have stayed more than one night. Overall, I would recommend and we would stay there again.
Location is absolutely beautiful and the hot tub is to die for! The bar lady in the evening was lovely, I was impressed by the way she was able to juggle tending both the bar and front desk all on her own with no manager in sight,nThe rooms we has were a bit neglected, we were on the end block on the third floor, room was bit dusty, a stain on the duvet, shower worked briefly, doors and locks were stiff, mattress was cheap. But other than that we had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend just for the spa and bar.
Great location, rooms ok for a British seaside hotel but not very spacious. New space-saving fixtures & fittings would help. We had a lovely view from the bay window. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly.
This hotel was lovely, the reception staff helped us out when we turned up and had no where to stay during graduation week thanks to another hotel. They were very accommodating and helped us out during a stressful situation. Our room/apartment was lovely, very comfortable and clean, and in a nice location on the sea front.
