A beautiful and comfortable hotel very close to the sea 20 metres. The rooms are small, but warm and romantic can say, since you can see the sea from their window and hear the waves.nThe hotel is placed in the main promenade of the village, 15 minutes far from the train station walking. The personnel were very kind during my stay.
Double room with sea view, absolutely amazing location and view. Breakfast in the morning was a good selection and the waitress was lovely, windows are single glaze so chilly room in January but they left us a fan heater and extra plug in radiator so not an issue and amazing to be able to hear the sea well lying in bed! Bathroom was small but perfect with a nice bath. Spa in the basement of hotel fab free use if you book directly, sauna was tiny and closed when we were there, there is a steam room though and large 15 person jacuzzi, foot spa and heated beds. Changing rooms needed a bit of tlc as smelt damp and nowhere for the steam to go.
Lovely seafront hotel.Modern decor ,immaculately clean everywhere. The choice and quality of food is excellent.Dinner was delicious with such a great choice and yummy desserts .nBreakfast again great choice and excellent quality.Really great service efficient and friendly from all the staff .nI spoke to some older guests who told me they had been made to feel so welcome and part of the Marine family over Christmas.nThe entertainment was so good the singer was amazing and atmosphere was lovely on New Year’s Eve.Fantastic function room for events.nA proper family run hotel with a warm welcome ,lovely setting, great rooms, wonderful staff and food. All round great stay .
I'm being exceptionally generous giving it a 2star review.nnI regret to say my experience at the hotel was more than disappointing. The room was cramped with a dorm room layout. The bed against the wall and the bathroom light was dysfunctional. Black mold on the ceiling and a terrible smell of dampness upon entering the room.nnThe room at the hotel not only lacked adequate space, the bed and mattress were notably of poor quality, the hair drier was like something from the 1950s there was no space to walk around the room. Thus, impacting our comfort. The non-functional bathroom light was an inconvenience, and the presence of black mold on the ceiling raised hygiene concerns.nnAs did the sink, shower, toilet and film of dust next to the bedside cabinet.nnThe check-in experience compounded our dissatisfaction. Arriving late on a Saturday night, after check in we went to park our car in the assigned car park two streets away. We then went for food and both agreed we could not stay in that room. We arrived back downstairs to find the hatch closed and the bar staff, unfortunately, couldn't assist.nThis left us feeling stranded and prompted our decision after trying to sleep to move to a more accommodating and very understanding Premier Inn at 2 am. The overall experience fell far short of our expectations for a comfortable stay.nnDrawing from my extensive travels to many different countries, including visits to some of the most socioeconomically deprived areas globally, I must express that this hotel ranks among the 10 worst I've ever experienced. Please be warned the rooms shown online are nothing similar to what you will actually receive.
A lovely hotel with stunning views on the sea front. Helpful and friendly staff and great food and facilities. Also large carpark and overflow at the rear of the building.
