I would give 0 stars if possible. We were moved here due to overbooking. When we arrived, we were greeted with an assortment of hair in the beds, a quarter filled dirty bathtub, rubbish in the other bathroom, and a general mess and lack of regard for the customers. We paid a fair amount to stay here and it was absolutely disgusting. The breakfast was abysmal. Severely overcooked and in some aspects, inedible. If you stay here in summer, bring your own fan. There is no air conditioning and the windows open such a slightly amount that there is next to no air flow.nnThe gentlemen and lady who cleaned our room after complaining were lovely but no attempts were made to rectify any other issues. I would not recommend to anybody. We were warned against this hotel but had to stay here due to graduation and being moved and I can completely understand the warning against. This hotel could be something nice, but that ought to start with improved cleaning.
A good room for the family. However the toilets were poor with awful water pressure in the shower. The walls were paper thin meaning any conversations from other rooms could be hear. Breakfast was good.
Awful stay for £88.nOnly 5 parking spaces for 38 rooms, so please state this on your pages. Onstreet parking limited to 2 hours so had to park quite away from the B&B it’s far from a hotelnnDirty, old, run down, dated room. Curtains hanging off their hooks, window could barely be opened to the hot room with no Air Con, on a main road so cars driving down all night long and even worse from 6am, light streaming into room making it light all night. Window was dirty and bird stained.nnMirror, carpet, shower cubicle and bathroom need a deep clean and redecorate. Clothes cupboard was like an old broom cupboard full of dust and random hangers.nNo ironing board.
Hotel is in a very good location however the hotel itself it's awful, the biggest issue is the noise in the hotel itself from upstairs there is obviously people living in this hotel who don't care about the paying guests, they were stomping banging shouting their kids still running about and crying till way after 12am. They were told several times to keep the noise down but they didn't care. The beds are awful have massive dips in them, the glasses in the room were disgusting, came back and they were obviously smoking in the restaurant it absolutely stank. Didn't try the food didn't want too. Couldn't wait to leave and wouldn't recommend. Aberystwyth itself is lovely but this hotel is definitely a no from me. Please don't come if you want some peace as you won't get it with these people living in this hotel.also the towels were stained with lipstick. And the parking is a joke only fit 4 cars in the car park.
We booked a studio but ended up with 2 joining rooms with a single bed and double bed and a kitchenette. No sofa or table and chairs as we expected from the description. There was no curtains in the one room but after the receptionist told us there was and then came and saw we were correct they got someone to fit a blind and they squashed in a table and chairs they took from the bar area. The carpet was nice in the room and the bathroom was too. I however got around 2 hours sleep as there were people sitting outside our room all night talking so it made it impossible to sleep. The receptionist wasn't very friendly from the start and made us feel very unwelcome and this was prior to us asking about the curtains in the room. She was lovely with some people asking about their trip etc but for some reason she took an instant dislike to us. She can smile now as there's no way we'll ever return again!
