Can honestly say I’m not surprised Maplin’s has gone to pot. I’m surprised it’s lasted as long as it has!

Went in today to purchase an item that usually has an RRP of £99.99. They had the item for £111.99 reduced from £159.99!!!!!! The reduced price of £111.99 was the discounted price because they are closing down?!?!?! Earth calling Maplin’s, come in. It’s repeated mistakes like that, that have ultimately cost it it’s business.

A quick jog across the road and the exact same item was purchased from Curry’s for £99.99

Whilst Maplin’s stocked a wide range of way out their items, nothing they stocked couldn’t be found elsewhere, and in a lot of case’s cheaper. Sadly Maplin’s refused to get with the programme, the result. Maplin’s is no more!

Really really sad to see Maplin’s fail, unfortunately they only have themselves to blame for closure.

Can’t fault the staff, they only follow protocol set by pen pushers at head office. I wish them well in finding new employment.

Usually have the bits I want. Got to know the staff in Harrow quite well - honest advice and service. 
Not yet been to my new local in Stevenage.
