Delicious spicy vegan Chinese food though you can hardly tell it's vegan, lovely servers! Especially liked the dandan noodles.
Lovely vegan Chinese food, especially the dan dan noodles and the strange Brussels sprouts were very good! They do use lots of chili’s in the food sometimes half of the dish consists of Chili lol and the actual dishes are not super big without the chili’s. However, the prices are good- when I went here we ordered the whole menu including the specials! Very happy Mao Chow is here, their noodles are amazing and the fact that they work with a rotating menu based on fresh produce is amazing, even better that it’s all vegan!
Brilliant food. We literally ordered the whole menu plus the special. Loved everything. The best dishes were the broccoli and the noodles. The place is tiny and very popular so be ready to queue for a while. Absolutely worth the wait.
Everything was really great. Loved that it seemed to come in the order it should be eaten. Cucumber, dumplings, Bao, mapo tofu and Dan Dan were all spot on I think the tofu was my fave. All had a tonne of flavour but you must be able to handle chilli Enjoy!
This place is small but the food is packed with flavor and the hole in the wall experience is really something else. We had the broccoli, dumplings, tofu with rice and dan dan noodles and everything was wonderful. Dishes are drenched in chili oil but most people won’t come here because they want to eat healthy, aside from the vegan aspect. Everything was delicious and they also offer a selection of beers. Seating is limited and be prepared to squish in with folks but it sort of adds to the charm. Loved it!
You wouldn’t know it’s vegan if there wasn’t a sign. Very tasty, fast service! The spicy items come with a kick but it is manageable for the European palette.
Authentic Chinese food, with fresh ingredients. Cozy ambience, nice owners! I ordered cucumbers and Amazingly Niceeeeeee
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to this year. Entirely vegan, this restaurant offer a very cheap and absolutely amazing food. Damn, the fried cauliflower in a peanut and soy sauce was good, as well as the chives dumplings. The staff was so warm, always smiling. We were two, took four dishes and paid £35.
Insanely tasty and addictive food with a small menu and intimate seating vibes. Recommend coming down early shuts at 10pm and is often a short wait for a table to be vacated. Capacity is only about 16 people with some of them outside, but the server does a great job attending to you even if it's just a regular reassurance that a table is almost ready for you! We were the last ones to leave at 10:15pm and instead of getting rushed out the door and death stares we were treated to a potent shot of firewater that had us skipping all the way home. Definitely will be back here a lot!
Edgy vibe and good food. Very small can only really seat 7-8 people at a time so there may be quite some waiting time to get seated. Very limited menu more than proportionate to the size of the place but with some good options. I enjoyed the Dan Dan noodles, Wanzu noodles and the spicy cauliflower which is indeed spicy as promised. The hostess was very sweet!
