I have found that once you get a doctor’s appointment the service is excellent.nI would agree that ringing for an appointment can be totally frustrating.nThe surgery is improving, I have to have regular blood tests and initially they have stopped medication owing to this fact. Now you get notification and it is also highlighted on NHS appnI sometimes think the issue is shortage of doctors, but that a uk issue
It is impossible to get an appointment. I tried this morning and got “the not open” message at 7.59, kept ringing getting that message, at 8.00 I started getting engaged tone. After 40 more attempts I got a message saying all appointments had gone. My wife has had severe stomach pains for days and I would expect to at least speak to a triage nurse or even the receptionist. Sick of hearing radio ads saying if you’ve got this symptom or that symptom call your doctor. We’ll have to go to walk in or the jam packed an and e which is not how it’s supposed to be. Absolute joke. I’d move gp but is anywhere better?
I was due bloods requested by my GP on arrival at Manor farm health centre I was taken straight through to what I thought was a nurse taking blood. She tried to get blood from my left arm and failed miserably infact not a spot of blood was taken She then attacked the rite arm and the same was achieved NOTHING..she said its because I haven't drank enough water well sorry but I did. I asked reception was she qualified she said your NOT the first this morning apparently not drank enough water? I needed bloods taken so I can change my medication so now I have to Wait another week..
I am home from work 05:45am and leave back to work 16:45. Tuesday I waited up till 09:00 and made an emergency appointment at my dentist for 11:00. My dentist said I needed to see my GP immediately. I went in person but after 10 minutes in queue went home and phoned. Received message to call back after 08:00. Wednesday got up and started phoning at 08:05 and received message that there was no appointments available. Thursday thought I would be smart and phoned 07:59 and message was surgery was closed till 08:00. I phoned straight back, line busy. Over the next 5 minutes phoned back 51 times before I received a message that there was no more appointments.nI work 6-7 nights a week and have to stay up to book an appointment and it’s a lottery whether I get aa appointment.nThis is disgusting! I suppose I could go to A&E but last time I went 2am in the morning was told I was unlikely to see anyone till after 1pm.
Amazing practice - I've been with you since you opened and have never had any difficulty getting an appointment within a reasonable time scale to see a doctor or nurse.nEvery doctor I have consulted with has been understanding, courteous and professional and lets not forget that this is a very busy practice so they may not have the time to spend exchanging pleasantries.nThe reception staff are pleasant and will always do their best to find me an appointment and I have had issues regarding repeat prescriptions etc, but have always been treated well and fairly.nI am astounded at some of the previous reviews and would encourage new patients to register.
