Me and my family ordered from here for the first time and I was really blown away. The food looks amazing, smelt amazing and most importantly it tasted amazing. Service was fast and the staff was friendly, I felt very welcomed. The is most certainly a good spot for authentic Chinese food, I would definitely recommend this space place.Food: 5/5
I recently ordered from Mandarin Chef and was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options catering to all tastes. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff and great timing. Highly recommend for top-notch Chinese cuisine and service. Five stars!Food: 5/5
Finally found a great Chinese takeaway. Went in to order. It was very busy. Good sign. Didn't wait long for my food. Had the king prawn szechuan, rice and spare ribs. All piping hot, freshly cooked, delicious, generous portions and very good value.Food: 5/5
Only had fried chicken wings and fried rice but they were both excellent. Served in 5 minutes but food tasted freshly prepared and was very tasty. That was a very quick turn around though and they had just opened. Would go again based on this visit. They lose points for having to pay cash for orders under £10 and no website so you cannot see an up to date menu before ordering in advance it can get very busy at weekends. 8/10 Edit: second order 17th Aug 2023 Ribs + chips+ beancurd with chilli and salt was delicious.
I'm disappointed with this experience normally a bright moons person but they are closed today we ordered mix platter the spring roll were slight over cooked the prawn toast tasted of burnt oil we also have crispy shredded chilli beef its was crispy but just tasted of batter can't taste any chilli on it a all. the house special chow mien was lack luster to say the least it has very little flavor if any the hot and sour soup had no spice/heat to it at all for £41 and no delivery had to got collect from two towns over it was very disappointing experience
I have been going here for nearly 20 years and recently the service and food quality have severely declined. Two weeks ago my mums sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was under cooked and last week I waited an hour in the takeaway because they lost my order. I checked 25 minutes after placing it as people coming in after me were leaving before me, I had to give them my order again and was promised it would be next out and then waited 35 minutes only to be given the wrong order and having to return to collect my correct one. I go every Saturday to order food for my mum who has severe Parkinson’s and never had a problem but the last few issues especially Saturdays are enough. Sadly they prioritise pre orders and the lack of organisation is causing major problems. Food was always good but having to stand outside in the cold for 60 minutes for my order and management not taking responsibility for it means I’m done.
Solid Chinese you, I think the queue speak volumes about the food and service. Very very busy but efficient and high paced in getting your order cooked and ready. Young front of house team and working their socks off non stop credit to them. A lovely meal thankyou.Food: 5/5
Very disappointed...used as our usual place was closed. The lemon chicken was raw in the middle...looked a complete mess as if cooked in a real hurry. Rice, vegetables and pancake rolls ok...have used this place in the past and was good. Dangerous raw chicken.Food: 2/5
I collected my order thinking it seemed expensive. But like everything I thought maybe it's gone up. No. An Item had been added, that I did not order. Large vegetable pancake rolls. We were going to eat them to find they were bearly cooked, the mini vegetable spring rolls I did order were OK. The sweet and sour chicken balls were dry. The chicken in the pineapple and chicken was like rubber. The shredded beef was lovely. But we were very disappointed as like many people we have had to cut back and this was suppose to be a rare treat. The Mandrin Chef is a bit of a drive for us and not our local But we have been using it for a few years now. Unfortunately we will not return.
Have always found the food excellent until today, spring rolls greasy, soggy with very little filling, king prawns tasted full of msg as did the lemon chicken, has ownership changed as I will no longer be using which is sad as this was by far the best Chinese takeaway in the area.Food: 1/5
