The library is in a beautiful building and has a lot of really awesome features. You can play Piano in the music library, there's also a great selection of books, it's very spacious and plenty of room to study. The only issue I would say is they have a kids play part in the basement part of the city library, so it's quite loud with rowdy children. Still worthy of a visit
This library is simply amazing! It's incredibly spacious, with plenty of room to explore and find a cozy spot to read or study. The atmosphere is incredible calm, inviting, and perfect for getting lost in a good book or focusing on work. Best of all, it's free for everyone adults, kids, tand anyone who loves a peaceful environment!
I attended this facility of knowledge and many books and pianos today and I have to say it is very good. I walked a few thousand steps to enter through the front door. There is a lot of staff there so it is good and there is a printer and photocopier , they let you play chess in there and study. Overall it is a nice place and is well maintained. It looks akin to similar buildings throughout the rest of the world such as the Victorian state library in the nation of Australia. The English here is slightly different which is interesting, but the words in the books are good. Very good. Very nice. Public transport to here is also good, will support in the future
What a lovely place to be... I sat and listened to some history from a video that was made about Funfair / Zoo and a place to have fun. Looked around at the different interactions they had listening and making. There is a cafe and small gift shop. Lovely designed library.
A very amazing and beautiful looking library. I enjoyed exploring it, highly recommended to visit it if you are into books and vintage looks libraries. As you can see in the pictures, beautiful. There is a cafe, free wifi, and toilets in there. 5/5
Manchester Central Library, located in Manchester, England, is a magnificent cultural institution that serves as a hub for knowledge, learning, and community engagement. Designed by architect Vincent Harris and opened in 1934, the library is renowned for its stunning neoclassical architecture, characterized by grand columns, a dome-shaped roof, and intricate detailing. With its rich history, architectural splendor, and commitment to intellectual inquiry, Manchester Central Library stands as a beacon of education and culture in the heart of the city.
A large library celebrating its 90th birthday this year, having opened in 1934. Split over two main floors, with the upper floor being a quiet reading room with the beautiful central clock and dome above. Some lovely art deco touches around the perimeter too. Well worth a visit.
Nice library The reading room is really big and quiet. Nice place for study. The reading room is quite hot. feeling like 26°c The room with black and white floorboards are not available in the moment. The library staff said that it was closed down since pandemic. Good luck to the future visitors. The library staffs are all very nice and friendly. *Washroom Available* *Plugs space available*
It is a true architectural gem. Its stunning neoclassical design, impressive reading rooms, and extensive collection make it a must-visit for book lovers and history enthusiasts. The library's grandeur and rich history create a captivating atmosphere for exploration.
Modern and beautiful place with all kinds of resources. A must place to visit if you are visiting Manchester.
