We only stopped for a cider while out on a bike ride, but we're very pleased to see the place open again. Had a great chat with the chef who really knows his stuff - we will be going back to eat as he can cater for my gf needs. The Sunday roast looked and smelled wonderful.
Went for a drink with family after a crazy day on the water and found this pub. Service was amazing the landlord was the most welcoming person we've met in a long time. Booking to come back for dinner later this week.
We had a super lunch today, the prawn and huge scallops linguine was really delicious. The staff were extremely welcoming and professional, bending over backwards to be helpful. We also enjoyed last Sunday's carvery, it was very tasty and everything was cooked to perfection. It is wonderful to have The Maltsters open again and we wish the new management all the best for the future.
Found through Google and definitely exceeded expectations. Dog friendly, the staff are super attentive and an A-AMazing chief that made the most tastiest food and even catered to a custom requirement. Made a 13 year old, birthday fiancee and myself feel very welcome and filled our stomachs. Would highly recommend for a spontaneous stop off just wish we had room for pudding.
Came for Christmas lunch. Excellent. A small family pub. Good atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Definitely will come again when we next visit Cornwall.
Country pub with good quality food and a great selection of cornish ales. Like everywhere inside was fully booked it being August, but we were able to grab a table outside and enjoyed a pleasant evening in the sunshine.
The most delicious carvery. Beautiful meat and plentiful extras.
Food was great. The bar area very cozy, but a bit soulless when sat in any other part of the pub.
Fantastic food at a reasonable price, very friendly staff only need to be a bit more attentive. Would definitely come again. Well how things change staff are still friendly, only after waiting 70 minutes for the main course to arrive on a quiet night. The lasagna was burnt on the top but hidden under a fresh layer of cheese sauce the burger was dry but the ham egg and chips were ok. Not sure what went wrong or if I'll come back.
Lovely open fire and great quiz questions, unfortunately the food was at best only lukewarm, which was a sad note to an otherwise decent evening.
