It was the best experience in dinning out so far in my life and also we stayed and they made it a very pleasant stay. The food was amazing and the breakfast the next morning was just as good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Now I know what fine dining is about and it will be hard to beat. The chefs out did themselves.
Amazing experience from start to finish. The gorgeous dining room, knowledgeable staff and the most fabulous food. I thoroughly enjoyed every course. So delighted to finally eat here and I definitely hope to return soon
Beautiful building, and the service was splendid, seven of us dining, they ensured all courses came out complete and timely. No one went away hungry, and the food was very good. Our beef was not as tender as we'd hoped, and for our palate it could have been more aggressively seasoned, but a wonderful experience.
There are enough reviews to assure anyone that you most likely have the best meal of your life at this establishment. Try the tasting menu, choose one of the very reasonable wines, have a before or after drink at the bar. If can stay in the suite at the top of the house. If you get there early try Maguire’s pub across the border 50m away. Most of all enjoy and book again for next year.
First time fine dinning and wasn't disappointed the food and service by very professional staff would haveto be seen to be believed with out being over bearing. The main man himself Nevin Maquire meet a greeted all the quest that were their for special occasions fantastic experience well done all.Food: 5/5
We went for B&B plus dinner. To start we had pre-dinner drinks in a very cosy lounge with an open fire which was lit. Drinks menu was extensive with cocktails and not expensive compared to Dublin. Dinner was a culinary delight of several courses. You can opt to pay for the wine pairing where you will receive a glass of wine specially selected for your food selection. I would highly recommend having the wine pairing. Every course was explained in detail as was each wine which included champagne and a dessert wine. Dinner lasted almost 4 hours and then we went back to the lounge for a nightcap or two. Nevin Maquire was saying hello and having a chat with everyone and was around most of the evening. He is very amiable and funny. We even got a personally signed copy of his Christmas cook book. The room was exquisitely designed, plenty of space, tea and coffee as well as complimentary water. The ensuite had a large rainfall shower. You could book a junior suite for €50 extra and that is very big with a freestanding bath tub and Nespresso machine. Breakfast in the morning was probably the best breakfast I ever had in a hotel. Porridge with Irish Mist, cream and honey was delightful as was the main course of scrambled egg with bacon. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will book for next year or whenever there is availability. The cost is very reasonable for the superb service and exquisite food and drink Parking: Plenty of on street parking.
The food is good and tasty as expected. Mr. Gaguire the chef is friendly and down to earth....we stayed the night and the room were great the nespresso coffee machine was a nice touch... Breakfast the next morning was spot on...parking is on the street opposite the restaurant. Its free parking but places are limited. Overall recommended.

Perfection from the moment 10 of us arrived 25th Jan until we left. 5* Food, 5 *service, 5 *accomodation. Shout out to Gary, Chrisopher and Imelda. Thanks to Neven for his hospitality the following morning and spoiling our Birthday girl..No wonder his staff all adore him. Lovely Gentleman. Well worth the wait...
What can I say? Exceptional as ever! Amazing food, beautiful wine, gorgeous restaurant and incredible staff. Special thanks to Oisin for his attentiveness, kindness, humour and smile - he epitomises excellent customer service. Thanks also to the maitre dee she has everything running like clockwork!!! She is so professional and is a seasoned professional! Thank you x
