Encountered a number of problems on our one night stay. Our kids love swimming pools, so you can imagine our disappointment when we found the indoor pool heater had broken, leaving the pool a very uncomfortable 24c. Hotel is advertised as dog friendly but staff had no clue what parts of the hotel we could take the dog, with no ability to provide a water bowl. This combined with a very loud group staying at the hotel, that insisted of shouting and swearing at every possibility, with clearly too many been drinking all day, made many families uncomfortable.
On the positive side, restaurant staff and food was outstanding! Overall, place has an edgy feel to it and wasn't a relaxing stay.

The hotel looks like it was set up to a high standard, the staff are helpful and polite. There are good facilities there. However some parts look like the maintenance is starting to slip. The rooms could do with a spruce up (our reclining chair was pushed into the corner, as it wouldn't stay up unaided), some stains and even rips in the carpet, to the point we could see some floorboards , a few signs could have done with screws tightening up. The service in the restaurant was good, but plates were being passed down the table, and we had to ask for steak knives for our steak. I asked for mine medium, it came mostly rare with a mini chip basket of fries. All almost high quality, but with bits of unpolished coming through. Overall we had a good weekend, but a bit expensive for its current state

Beautiful setting. 5star attention to detail. Staff were very professional and helpful. Spa and facilities were very good and the dinner was amazing. I was very impressed and would recommend. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.

The hotel was feeling rather run down and dated. We had booked in for a spa weekend, we were upgraded to an executive room. The room was a great size however the fixtures and fittings we a bit lacking. The carpet needed replacing as it had multiple stains and was very threadbare enough so that it was coming apart in places and you could see the floorboards. The evening meal was of a good quality however the service was a bit of a let down. The tables were so close together the servers could not get to the customers and were passing plates to other guests to pass along, the stake was served without a stake knife and when we requested one the waiter seemed a bit put out. The spa facilities were nice however half of the jacuzzi was not functioning nor one of the sauna rooms. Overall it was an enjoyable stay just not quite the luxury that was promised

Sporting a nice outside look from the road and manorial looking reception, this hotel is surprisingly bigger than it looks.
It sports good facilities for events (attended a 2 day company event), with really good catering, multitude of event rooms and good parking capacity.
Stay is also pleasant with classic bedrooms sporting a decent look.
Staff were helpful and constantly sported a smile.
