Situated in the heart of Galashiels since 1924, Macari's Cafe is proud to be an integral part of the Galashiels community.
Open 7 days a week (subject to change during quieter winter months) we offer a wide variety of high quality meals and snacks, to eat in or take away.

Macari's is easily accessible and wheelchair and buggy friendly.

Our outdoor coffee garden offers shelter for pet owners and also smokers.

Great food always. Staff are helpful and nice. Clean place to eat. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu Parking: Carpark out the front. But behind there shop is a council car park. 50p for 2 hours. Wheelchair accessibility: No step at front door.

Great coffee and the seating outside was perfect for a sunny warm day to enjoy.
For a long time myself and my wife always had our all day breakfast at Tesco after her hospital appointments at the BGH. But last two times at Tesco the service and food has gone downhill quite a bit. So had a look round Galashiels for somewhere else, and landed at Macari's. Food and friendliness was excellent and service was very quick. All day breakfast at £5.50 includes a pot of tea or coffee. Beats Tesco hands down, food quality and price. Will make this our regular eating place from now on. Highly recommended, 5
Been twice in one week while staying in the area. Very clean, welcoming staff. A reasonably priced and comprehensive menu. Well worth visiting.

First impressions. It was lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. In fact I thought it would have been more expensive so was pleasantly surprised. All the staff were wearing facemasks and there was plenty of hand sanitiser about. Enjoyable lunch would definately go back if I was in the area again.
Nice friendly cafe with really good service from friendly faces. Not ate there yet but inside and outside seating options make it a lovely place for a coffee or other drink at any time of day.
