Took my fiancée's engagement ring here for a bit of TLC ahead of our wedding and I'm absolutely delighted. It was cleaned, polished and replated within a day and was much cheaper than one of the chains in the town centre! It looks as good as new and I'll definitely come here again.

I had my engagement ring resized here, impeccable results. They even polished it for me making it look brand new, would highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to John Lyon’s jewellers in Stevenage for a few years, for everyday things like taking links out of watch bracelets and replacing batteries. I’d rate them as excellent & worthy of five stars. Thoroughly recommended.

They soldered a gold ring and polished it for me. The work was exceptional. I am a toolmaker of 40 years and this quality of workmanship is not seen to much these days. Would highly recomend. Awesome work skills.

dropped off my necklace and was told I would be contacted if they could not fix it, I was not contacted. Had to go into shop to chase and was told they couldn’t fix it, 0 communication.

Friendly customer service would highly recommend!  Over the years my parents have brought me many gold charms for my charm bracelet here aswell as attaching other charms brought elsewhere.  I have recently had my late Nans ring amended. It had to have it reshaped and soldered were it had cracked, I was over the moon with the result! It had also been cleaned so looked better than before. It only took two weeks which was the timescale given so was extremely happy with the overall service.  Thank you!!

Done a few bits for me including Fixed my keeper ring for me wich was completely snapped and needed a new band johns the man and wouldnt go anywhere else

decided to get rid of some of my late parents gold, not something i would wear, the grams were 12g, I was advised it wasnt worth anything as 2 of the 3 rings were in a bad condition and it would be melted down, both of them were 18ct diamond and sapphire the last was a vintage garnet ring - nothing wrong with it but again listened to what they / she said that it was only worth its weight and it would be melted down.. advised that it was only worth £130 in total for all 3 rings at 12g.. im not a specialist so agreed with the supposed person who knew what she was talking about, only to go home and find out that gold was being valued at melt down value more than she told us, actually at £46 per gram against the £10 per gram she did!  honestly now wish we went somewhere else as the money was for the kids from my late parents jewellery as their gift... please buyer beware look at other companies before going here as they are not truthful on what your jewellery is worth! honestly will never ever use this company again they have under estimated my jewellery massively it was in weight worth over 500 and i received under 150. COWBOYS!!! steer clear!!!

Going to John Lyons for years,very pleased with service,just read review from Steven Ewins, really doesn't sound like the service always recieved, prices are always best in town, very polite service always, will definitely use these again and recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell jewellery.
