Arrived this morning at Lymington Pier to collect my daughter from a school trip. The Wightlink ferry from here goes to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. There is a cafe called Curlew cafe, where you can get some refreshments while waiting for the ferry or collecting someone. They also have toilets in the cafe which is handy. There is a big car park where I’m currently parked. Unfortunately the car park isn’t free and there is no discount or free parking for blue badge holders which isn’t great at all. There is a free 20 minute car park next to the curlew cafe great for quickly dropping someone off or to collect. But since it’s only 20 minutes I’m currently parked in the paid car park and will move to the free 20 minute parking space once it gets closer to the time I’m collecting my daughter .
really nice harbour and trains run every 30 minutes to Brockenhurst where you can get onward connects to london, Bournemouth, southampton and Weymouth. Ferrys to yarmouth isle of wight run from here
Relaxed atmosphere, scenic harbour and coastal views with a Costa cafe open to the public in the ferry terminal building and lots of boats to see and a regular train service on the doorstep too.
Very few facilities as a station but it's main purpose however is to connect with the ferry linking to the Isle of Wight so it's hard to be that angry with the station overall. Trains serve here every half an hour Monday to Sunday.
Ferry and train station are all in one it makes the connection flawless.nAlso ferry terminal gives an excellent service on passangers, coffee ,tea, and snacks are available
