Absolutely avoid at all costs. 3 times in the last 10 days they have been 30 minutes late, no explanation no apologies no reduction in fare. My colleague and I are regular customers, using them 3-4 times a week, always book at least 8 hours prior to pick up and they still don't turn up on time. Good job it's not an urgent appointment to get somewhere. Sorry to the nice drivers and people on the phone. But whoever owns or runs this company need to sort it out. Will never use again.
Fabulous service last night. Firstly had a text confirmation of the booking and constant updates of driver. Picked us up on time at the door of the restaurant we were at. Great driver, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend and use again.
I have used Lymington Taxis quite often since I have been unable to drive due to Parkinson’s. Their first point of contact is Kelly who is on the reception and she is such an an asset to them. She usually finds me a taxi even at short notice and is very helpful! All the drivers are very friendly and will put my bags into the boot if they are bulky- one kind man took my bags to my front door. ..they are a great company and I wish them well.
Martin is an outstanding taxi driver. I have been picked up by him through lymington taxis a few times now and each time he has made great conversation. As well as this the switchboard operators for Lymington taxis have always been reliable and polite and I have always managed to pre book a cab easily and for a good rate! Excellent service today Both out and return trip. Received a text to confirm booking. Up to date details of when taxi would arrive with details of driver's name, car and registration number of car. Highly recommend them.
Absolutely terrible. Booked 2 days in advance, was told they don’t get out of the car or ring a doorbell to notify you they are there, so I better be ready at the collection time. So collection time comes, I am ready, wait and wait, then eventually call them to find out where they are, driver is on another job in Sway he’ll be 20mins late. Ok, rather annoying but fine, then 20 minutes later get a call saying he’s at the address but he’s gone to a different place with a similar name despite me speaking to two people explicitly telling them to make a note of where the house was. I was a single lady waiting for over 30 mins for this pre-booked ride, in the end told them not to bother and got a friend to drive me home. You definitely can’t trust this company to turn up when you pre book, let alone on time.
totally awful - didn’t show up. after booking the taxi on new year’s eve from lymington to brockenhurst, it did not arrive so we called them… they proceeded to tell us that the taxi was booked in with them at 1.45 am AN HOUR AFTER WE HAD AGREED! following a very rude conversation with the woman on the other end of the phone that said “it’s not my problem”, we waited till 1.45 in the cold despite the attitude we had just revived on the phone, only to find out that it wasn’t coming. at 2.05am after over an hour of waiting, a taxi arrived to take us home. we got in rather annoyed and there were two grapes just sitting on the seat… poor quality. eventually we arrived home but we were charged full price as if nothing had happened.
Booked a taxi to take my son and his partner to Southampton to get a national express coach to heathrow airport . I booked this two weeks before the date as i was to be away on holiday and confirmed the cost of the booking . My son rang on the morning of the pick up to be told there was no booking !!! After ringing round frantically try to find another taxi company with no success , half an hour later this company rang back to say " oh we have found your booking " . Totally unprofessional and will never use again .
Picked me up from Bournemouth Airport, very professional service, contacted before I arrived to confirm and make sure everything was in order, Thanks Jerry the driver, appreciated & recommended.
Highly recommended! Very very busy weekend at Lymington , due to seafood festival , sunny weather etc, we struggled to get a taxi, popped into lymington taxis on the off chance of any cancellations. Jack was amazing firstly watching him juggle the high influx of calls , but also managed to somehow squeeze us in. So very thankful!
