Luna it's a great restaurant offering outstanding food, curated and different. The service is good, very friendly and kind. In my perception there is somewhat of a mismatch between the quality of food and the ambience high end and eclectic and the service, the welcome of customers, or how the menu is presented on paper. I almost think the quality of the food is undersold - if that makes sense- compared to other restaurants I've been to.
Fantastic lunch experience. Really friendly staff with excellent service. Food was delicious- lovely menu and good wine selection too- highly recommend Luna.
I have been to Luna twice and only for drinks, and both times I've had a great experience. The lads at the bar really know their craft and do it with excellence. The staff is really friendly and bubbly. I will definitely be back and hopefully for dine in too next. Thanks! Service: 5/5
Hell of a tasting menu. Loved it, the service was great and having a view on the kitchen is well thought. Well done!
Feels very private and very intimate. I liked the fact that from any of the tables due to there being mirrors everywhere to open up the space you can see directly into the kitchen. The setting is warm and comfortable with very classy decor, but the food is even better. The menu is designed first and foremost for your taste buds. The plates are small, yet you'll still leave this restaurant satisfied and full. Each course was a work of art and really well presented. Seems to be very close attention to detail put into every plate that leaves the kitchen. Drinks were fantastic also with a fine selection of wines and superb cocktails. The staff were another highlight. They were super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Extremely good value for the the type of upmarket dining experience you get, one that you won't forget. Will definitely be back.
Everything was amazing from the service to the food. The cocktails are fantastic, and the staff are very friendly.Food: 5/5
4 of us had the Christmas set menu. Food was good but not amazing. Extremely small portions, even for for a set menu. Felt like we were dining the tasting menu instead. Music was way too to loud we couldn’t even hear each other speak. We all left with headaches. Wrong cutlery given to us. Very long wait in between each course. Then the door man of all people came over to us to change our cutlery because we were given the wrong set again & started in putting on our conversation and trying to educate us on something he was completely wrong about. Very funny actually. Tiramisu dessert was like a milkshake, felt like asking for a straw. Cocktails was good. The carrot 3 way amuse-bouche was delicious as was the warm bread & pesto. Really liked the open pass where customers can see the chefs at work. Over all the whole experience wasn’t worth the €69 we paid for each set menu. Not to even mention the metal prison toilets‍
I never write restaurant reviews but feel obliged to due to our disappointing experience. I want to start off by saying that the food was absolutely amazing and I don't have a single complaint regarding the lovely dishes we were served during our visit. However I was shocked at the standard of service considering the price point of the restaurant. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. Upon arrival we were told our table wasn't ready and were asked to take a seat at the bar to order a drink. Our order was not passed onto the bartender and we had to reorder 10 minutes later. When we were finally seated I felt that we were being rushed through our entire meal despite being left waiting for 15 minutes. We were first served three dishes at once and felt rushed to finish them at a fast pace so our dishes would not go cold as they were all brought at the same time. I looked around and saw other tables were being served these dishes one by one and knew we were indeed being rushed and this really bothered me as we had been left waiting for our table. We did not receive any of our wine pairing drinks until our mains arrived and not one of the drinks was served with the correct meal. The servers apologized for this as they brought them out but this was very disappointing as it defeats the whole purpose of a wine pairing and I really regretted paying for this. I have never experienced having wine pairings served with the wrong meals and also not having our dishes cleared before being brought new ones at a tasting menu. Throughout the night wrong dishes were brought to our table and on two occasions we were brought the same dish we had just finished and we were constantly explaining to the servers that the dishes were wrong. Some of the tasting menu dishes were dropped with no introduction so we had to take out our phones to google the menu to find out what we were eating. It was disappointing that no one took our coats on arrival and we had to ask someone to take them 30 minutes later and after paying I was left to search around the restaurant trying to find my coat. This is really poor service considering we spent €300 on our meal before the added cocktails we purchased because our table was late. The staff were very friendly and I don't believe they are at fault. They seemed completely understaffed and in a constant rush and I feel that because of this they weren't given the chance to provide adequate service. I feel very let down at our entire experience and I won't feel comfortable recommending Luna to my friends and colleagues because of this.
We tried the tasting menu. The food was generally good but nothing special and overpriced in my opinion. They are quite slow, appetizers were served quickly but then the service slowed down and at the end it took almost four hours to finish the dinner.Food: 2/5
Service was slow, food was average and the bathrooms were off-putting. Our booking was from 6-8. Main courses didn't arrive until almost 9pm. The dining had a promising start with an interesting carrrot amuse bouche. Unfortunately, it went downhill after that...Most of the food served was tepid and although the menu sounded great, the dishes didn't deliver. The butter poached scallop was dry and rubbery. The pasta was odd. Main course of halibut with crab also came with crab shell. Sides of potato and brussel sprouts were interesting. Spuds were fine but brussels seemed to have skipped the cooking process. They were hard, cabbagey and cold. Serivce was so slow I didn't bother speaking to anyone as I didn't want more delays. I skipped dessert and went home - the table didn't get the bill until 10pm. That's too long for sub par food and slow service. I went to the bathroom at one point to walk into a unisex setting where half the cubicles were out of order. No one was impressed. 5 women were all vocally annoyed about sharing space with men and the men didn't seem thrilled with it either. I would never want my daugher using a unisex bathroom so would not recommend this for anyone with young-teen kids. The only nice thing I can say about Luna is that the space looks great. The bar was lovely looking and there was a good atmosphere. So, if I had to come again I'd go to the bar, have one drink and leave before I needed a bathroom.
