We went to the local swimming pool then went over to the park. The park is lovely as it's in two parts. One for older children and the other side for younger kids.
Nice Park. Play area for toddlers and another for older children. Nice large field for dogs and lites on a windy day
Great to sit and chill for a few hours in the fields , access to local shops and toilet facilities plenty of places to sit and enjoy the sun
Its a park. It's got play stuff and wide open spaces and the obligatory pack of dogs off the lead. 'Don't worry hes so friendly' as it runs at you barking and growling. Other than that a really nice spot. Good views of the river and the foothills of Dartmoor.
This is a really nice park, but I find the play park for little ones unsafe, I mean when climbing for the slide and all, theres too much open entries my toddler has often almost fell, so I need to be with him all times and be careful as well, thats the only thing I don’t like
Small park for toddlers and larger park for older children to play. Toilets and surrounding field, boasting bowling green, basket ball court and tennis court. Both courts and surrounding fences a bit run down but still able to play on. Brilliant views across the Tamar to Dartmoor, lots of seating and spread out if you want quiet time alone. There is a Picnic bench which is ideal on warmer days. Park area can become full of litter, but council do try keeping on top of it. Over all a nice place to sit and let the world go by!
Went with an active two and a half year old and he enjoyed both play areas. The one for younger children is in shade and has good climbs and slides. The play area for older children is much larger and has some quite challenging activities to test balance and climbing. Both are securely fenced and there are benches. Toilets nearby and clean. Only disadvantage is carpark is not very big and if the bowls club is in session, then there's no space to park, so parking on the road.
A small but pleasant place to walk your dog. There are often a group of dog owners standing In the middle from 5-6pm. A friendly bunch and gives your dog the opportunity to socialise!Playground: YesPublic restrooms: YesOff-leash dog area: YesPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: No
Obviously a nice outside space for dog and children walking. As always the council should spend more and improve the play parks. Quite why a town the size of Saltash has such poor parks I've no idea. Be careful of dog mess as always on the grassy area. Its a great view though and the older kids enjoy the basketball and tennis.
Nice place to take in some fresh air....WC on site very clean and tidy
