As requested these guys were quite considerate with the timings and also helped us move out. Secondly, our first breakfast here in UK was simple and sweet, welcoming and friendly staff and even room were nicely arranged.Rooms: 5/5
My partner was in hospital overnight so needed somewhere local, absolutely fit for purpose and the room was ideal, staff were welcoming and the mini buffet the following morning started my new day off nicely. Many thanks!Rooms: 5/5
This place should be condemned. First room offered had twin beds when we booked a double. Non of the bedding made a complete set. They looked tired and well worn. Trim was falling of the boxed in soil pipes. The only storage a dated honey pine drawer set had a child sticker on it. The window sills are disgusting, the blinds were broken and didn't cover the windows, no lampshade no wardrobe the bathroom had a broken toilet seat no rose on the shower head just the pipe. There was mould in the shower and mastic holding the thing together. The aroma needed to be experienced. Room 2 offered great a double bed, same mis match bedding. Same blinds issue. Filth on the skirting boards and beneath the sink. Small office type 3 drawer set with detritus in it. Stained carpet. Dangerous cable strewn from the TV socket which was broken to the TV, major trip hazard. Holes in the floor corners. Stained dirty window sills. No wardrobe again. Photos available as proof should they be required! Staff DO smoke at the place as we passed the "concierge " leaving our key en route to a real hotel. He was enjoying a cheeky L & B outside! THERE WAS AUDIBLE MUSIC FROM OTHER ROOMS. This is DSS accommodation nothing more or less...the telling sign, a note on the door stating no member of staff is allowed in the rooms...even to clean ha them. We didn't stay longer than was necessary to book appropriate accommodation. Will be interested in the hotels comments.
Rooms were not clean at all. No towel was provided until 2nd day evening. Breakfast is nothing other then toast, biscuits and coffee. To be honest they shouldn't consider as hotel at all. No curtain in room and they just took out my bag and put it in office and gave my room to someone else so when I gone to room on 2nd day night there was someone else in room.
The room I stayed in was extremely poor. I think it was more shock when I opened the door. I ended up booking another hotel due to the condition. Stained Walls and ceilings, the room smelt just like really old and fusty, toilet seat and lid both ripped off and placed by the side of the toilet, the bathroom ceiling taped. If I could post pictures it would help. Would strongly recommend not staying here
The hotel is good and clean. The reception is large with TV and the breakfast is normal. A lot of coffee / tea in the room. The service and some furnishings are not quite good and should be improved.Rooms: 4/5
Nice respectfull staff and good customer service . Polite and nice rooms and cooked breakfast had eggs hash browns beans toast and coffee inc cereal and biscuits for your coffee or tea . Fresh fruit and juice and room was clean tidy and fresh also hot shower and choice of shampoo conditioner and shower jel and clean towels enjoyed peace staying here nice place .
Very cheap but now I know why, only booked it as there was nowhere else available and started to panick as nowhere else to stay. So walked in the room to find hair on the bed screws on the floor and the floor hadn’t been hoovered and the finish & furniture is ready for the local tip I’d say. So what I did was book another other hotel and got the hell out as soon as I could. Paid a lot more somewhere else but had a good nights sleep. Stay away if you want a clean room.
The room wasn't the best presented, with wallpaper peeling, TV held together with tape and half the blinds not opening. However it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were a bit blunt but that's not the end of the world. Only thing I'd warn people of is there's a £50 cash deposit on arrival which I didn't find specified anywhere when booking, but my deposit was returned with no quarms the next morning. All in all it was a pleasant enough stay, in an ok area, but for £35 a night it's more than I honestly expected after reading other reviews, and I'd stop here again in a pinch.
1 star is still too much for this so called hotel that's a half way house for dss etc. Hairs in the bed, stains on the sheets, blinds thay are stained and falling to bits, holes and burn marks in the duvet cover, previous persons shower gel still on the shower floor. Stains around the toilet brush on the flower and General disrepair in the room, and to be told that this was the best room. They don't give refunds or answer the phone. Stay well away from this place.
