I had an amazing stay at this hotel! I was able to check in early, which was incredibly convenient. As a bonus, I won a free pint on the rewards spin wheel — such a fun touch! Grace at reception was absolutely lovely and made me feel so welcome. The room was spotless and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, 10/10 — I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. Thank you!
Came here with my girlfriend as she was showing me around her city, staff on the first night we came in late were Lee and Taylor, they were incredible and made the experience feel personalised, attentive and welcoming. Cannot praise them enough! Rooms were very clean with comfy bed and the lady on cleaning/refilling duty didn't catch her name sorry! was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, huge selection of things. Would definitely come back
Have stayed in other Holiday Inn Express hotels and this was one of the better ones. Staff were absolutely brilliant, giving it more of a hotel than an 'express' feel, nothing was too much trouble and any issues were dealt with swiftly and professionally. I am a wheelchair user and the platform lift up to the landing to get the main lifts was broken when I first arrived at the hotel at a weekend this had already been reported but could not be fixed immediately, in the meantime all staff were fabulous at keeping me informed and assisting as required, as well as being very apologetic despite this being completely outside their control. The room was comfy and had everything I needed for a 4 night work trip in January 2025. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is in a great location with excellent facilities, and the male staff member who welcomed me was very professional and friendly — a great first impression.nnHowever, the only downside was on the day I left. A female staff member, who seemed to be a manager, was quite rude and made me feel uncomfortable. I was smiling and trying to be polite, but she stopped me mid-sentence and made me feel unwelcome. It left a disappointing end to an otherwise pleasant stay.
From the entrance, we were greeted with warm smiles from the staff whilst being checked in.nThe room was so homely and spacious - had a table with an overhead lamp and chair where you could do your reading, sofa, ironing board, facilities to make yourself a brew, telly, nice cozy bed.nBreakfast was yummy hot and cold options.nLocated in the centre of Middlesbrough 6mins away from the train station.nnHighly recommended!
