I recently had a stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Middlesbrough and found it to be decent value for money. The rooms were spotless, with daily housekeeping and fresh towels, which kept everything in tip-top condition.nnThe breakfast was perfectly adequate for a 3-star hotel, with a good selection available. That said, the hotel was extremely busy, which made the experience less enjoyable at times. Long queues for toasting bread and getting a coffee were a bit of a nuisance, and the overall noise level was higher than expected.nnThe staff were polite enough, but the sheer volume of guests meant that any issues took longer to resolve. Despite these drawbacks, I did enjoy my stay and thought it was worth what I paid. However, with a bit more attention to detail, especially during peak times, the overall experience could be much improved.nnAll in all, it’s a reasonable choice for a 3-star hotel, but there’s definitely room for some fine-tuning.
Stayed here for 2 nights for work. Really good set up at this Holiday Inn Express. Really friendly staff that were attentive over the course of my stay. Happy to give advice on places to go and places to eat. Breakfast really good, but it’s a busy hotel so get there early.nnRooms Quiet enough when windows shut but locals seem to like to rev a fiesta 1.1 with a big exhaust on it up and down the street outside. Not enough to keep you up however as street quietens down later in the eveningnnIf all Holiday Inns met this hotels standard they would be great places to go.

I had a room on the first floor, which was relatively quiet, although some noise would bleed in from the street because my window faced the main road. Other than that, the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Staff were very kind and always available. A mishap with the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night was treated swiftly and without fuss, allowing us to return to our rooms and go back to sleep very quickly. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and great variety of options. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would certainly return!
I have been staying at this hotel for a number of weeks and the level of service received so far has been fantastic. From booking the stay with Kennidi who I must say has been so helpful to just having daily conversations with the domestic staff, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself has everything needed and is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and the amount of choice available is great and the menu choices for food throughout the day / evening good.nI would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the area.
