Popped in for Sunday lunch choice of for beef or turkey or pork as the roast of the day, which my wife enjoyed with some excellent cauliflower cheese, I made a last-minute decision to go for the steaknnWe managed to fit in a small pudding as well. Absolutely brilliant. Great service. Great food. What's not to like?..nnOf course we'll be back. It'll be rude not to!!
Extremely good value for money. The food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard. There was a great selection of food which was all gorgeous. A pleasant atmosphere with ample room around the tables. The pub is located on a lovely, picturesque village green, a short walk from the river, beach and the historic Shaldon Ferry. A great spot for casual dining or a cosy meal with family and friends. A large outdoor area for drier months! All on one level, so should be accessible, if a little tight through doorways for wheelchair users. Thoroughly recommended
Went there for a Sunday Roast today. All 4 of us had the roast beef and it was delicious. Tender beef, huge Yorkshire puddings and plenty of veg. I absolutely loved that each dish came with its own gravy boat too. I do love a LOT of gravy! Great service and lovely staff.
Come every every year on our annual holiday in Shaldon. Nothing has changed at The London Inn. Food was superb. I had the Surf and Turf which was perfect. My wife had Monk Fish which was equally as good. Staff were very helpful and attentive, well don
Walked in and booked a table in the afternoon for that evening. I can honestly say that I smelt the food at that point and thought this place is going to be good and I said so to my fiancée. I am not surprised to say that I was wrong with that assumption, as the food was some of the finest, me and my fiancée have had. I throughly recommend the Hake and Steak, the only change was I asked for a blue steak, rather than the medium rare and all I can say is WOW. My fiancée had the Lemon Basil Pasta and that was amazing too. I had the Creme Brulee for dessert and my fiancée had the Chef special blondie brown with salted caramel ice cream and again, it exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful, as my fiancée is pregnant, they opened the window to allow her to cool down and made us feel expectationally welcome, with the owner even coming out to tell us that our food was next. I would throughly recommend this pub and their food. Kudos to the chef/chefs and staff, it was wonderful.
