Lovely pub on the village green in Shaldon. Staff were incredibly friendly and had a great way with the customers. We didn't eat there but the menu looked fabulous. We had recommendations from the locals, but sadly not enough time to have dinner. We enjoyed local Devon cider and a packet of crisps! Not quite the same. The pub walls are lined with paintings for sale by local artists. We'll definitely be back for food next time we visit Shaldon.

Stopped in on the off chance of a spare table for 2 for food - there was .. just! The burger & chips we had tasted absolutely delicious, much better than it looked could do with a little side salad to colour up the plate - thoroughly enjoyed our unexpected stop. Nice local atmosphere and didn't feel like a tourist!Food: 5/5

Whilst staying in Shaldon we loved eating at the London Inn. Great food at great prices. We enjoyed Valentine's night here. It's fine to eat in the bar as well as the restaurant. There is a good atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome. 2 meals for £20 was excellent value and we rebooked for another evening. Lovely bar staff too.
In a picture perfect location opposite the bowling green, the pub delivers great service with 3 ales on the bar. There is sunny seating area at the front of the pub.Service: 5/5
A fabulous meal, I had the king prawn linguini with a delicious sauce. Husband had steak, cooked perfectly. Table of 6 and we all had great starters, main and puds. Attentive, even when very very busy, staff. Added surprise bonus was that all mains were £10 each, even the steak! A M -Th deal we didn't know before booking. Definitely booking again for husband's birthday in January. Thank you.
This is a lovely village pub, atmospheric decor and outdoor seating overlooking the bowling green. I shared bruschetta with my husband to start, a light and delicious morsel. We decided to share the new Bonfire Q platter, and a very tasty experience it was. Pulled pork, burnt beef brisket ends, crispy chicken, home made coleslaw, mixed beans, fries and brioche buns kept us busy for some time. Generous portions meant we couldn’t quite finish it unfortunately, despite working up quite an appetite on the beach in the afternoon. We have eaten at The London many times and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food, the great service, and the wide range of drinks on offer. Highly recommended.
