We stayed here for three nights. The room was spotless and a good size, better than most. The shower room was clean. There was a hair dryer but it was not in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Good size car park. There was no restaurant, it was done at the pub next door part of the same complex. This however, was a major dump. The staff looked dirty, the furniture was shabby and fraying around the edges. The food was poor quality. The toilets were disgusting, the floor looked like is was mopped with dirty water you could see where dirt had built up over the years. There were obvious successive picking sitting on the toilet picking their noses an flicking the results on the door.nIf you stay at the place you will need a better place to eat, it would not be hard to find cleaner
We booked a family room for 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 children age 14 and 7. When we got in our room we could not believe that our children were supposed to sleep together on what can only be described as a cheap camp bed with a very thin mattress. I was aware on booking that they would have to share a sofa bed but this was ridiculous. My 14 year old is 5ft 6. Her legs hung off the edge and there was definitely no room for two children to sleep in that.nnI went to reception to speak with someone who advised all family rooms are like this and there was nothing he could do.nnAnother point to make about your “family room” is the frosted glass bathroom door which is pretty much see through. My 14 year old daughter felt particularly uncomfortable having to use the bathroom where everyone could see her. Not something you would expect from a family room.nnWe had a terrible nights sleep and then had a 4 hour journey to Cornwall to make feeling tired and stressed out. We won’t be back
Very nice place, room was lovely and immaculate. Stayed 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised considering the price. There is no front desk or anything though and you have to go across the road to the bigger hotel to check in and get your key. Food was served next door at a small pub like place, and while it was slightly expensive each thing I ate there was top quality.
Quiet location, nice chambermaid who have us a friendly welcome when we arrived. Clean rooms, nicely decorated, well kept furniture and nice shower. Breakfast at the Black Sheep was great too, especially the bread! We'll be back.
The rooms are great, however, the check in process takes quite a lot, as you have to do it in the hotel across the street.nnAlso, they charge you 3.50 GBP for parking and you have to pay in a cafe. I feel like this should be included in the price.
