Attended afternoon tea for my nieces baby shower. Pleasant surroundings, attentive staff without being overbearing. Happy to refill tea and coffee jugs when asked and cooked chips for children that did not eat sandwiches. Afternoon tea was well presented and could see the sandwiches were freshly made. Cakes were larger than petits fours and yummy. Would have preferred clotted cream with the scones but only managed half anyway as was full. A great afternoon had by all who attended and would return and recommend.

Arrived and was greeted nicely at reception. Room was nice and shower was great. There was a wedding party on the floor below us and very loud music blasting into our room at 10pm. After politely informing reception we were upgraded to a bigger privelege room away from the noise free of charge. The staff were very apologetic and even offered to carry our bags to the new room. Very happy with this service and our trip overall.

The hotel is set back from the main road & should look like a stunning slab of the good old days, unfortunately it doesn't. The man at reception was brilliant, very cheerful and very efficient. The hotel has lots of corridors with less than brilliant signs. My room was poor. The decor was tired at best and hanging off the wall in places. There was no remote control for the TV. The bathroom had only 2 out of 4 bulbs working & there was only 1 towel, so in the morning I dried myself with last night's damp towel - because there was also no towel rail. I didn't eat breakfast, I waited about for a while whilst a couple of staff busied themselves ignoring me by shuffling papers and then decided I would eat somewhere else.

The room was nothing special: I've been in the same in a Travelodge for half the price. En-suite in desperate need of updating. Didn't rate the food either, my other half actually ended up sending his back to the kitchen and not eating a main course. The only 2 things we liked here were: the staff who were attentive, polite, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious- homemade smoothie shots, fresh mini pastries, fresh fruit, cooked breakfast, juices, granola etc. Really delicious.

The hotel is well presented. The staff were very freindly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The only meals I ate at the hotel were the breakfasts, which were a buffet style. There was a good selection foods available and a fresh pot of coffee for the table.
