Had afternoon tea here a few days ago and it was top draw. Finger sandwiches were super fresh with various fillings. Lovely warm mini sausage rolls and the best Welsh cakes we've ever tasted. There was plenty of variety with other cakes, which again, were all super fresh. The scones were also delicious and still warm. Plenty of jam and fresh cream to go with them. It was also nice to get pots of tea that made a strong brew which is to our liking. We would definitely return for more of the same, well worth the hour's drive.
Booked for a weekend away, surprise visit to friends. Location is great and close to Barry Sidings Park for a walk and some fresh air. The hotel was hosting a wedding on both nights of our stay but, not a problem, we weren't disturbed by the festivities.nDon't be put off by the tattered flags or the missing letters from the hotel name because the staff are lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Overall the hotel warrants it's 3 star ratingnFor me it was a good stay, some areas of the hotel are tired but I wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Went there tonight for a meal with my wife. We can highly recommend going here. Food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Very satisfied.
Looking forward to going to the heritage park for food. The waitress served us was lovely. We Both ordered chicken wings for starters. When my husband bit into a chicken wing it was raw. The waitress took it back . And asked would we like another drink Then ordered Garlic mushrooms which was nice in fairness. Literally. Second s after our mains came out. Pipping hot as like they were put on a hot plate. Very tasteless And dry as old boots. It’s been the worst meal I’ve had in a while. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and will not be returning.
This hotel is going down hill it used to be lovely.nThey've now put a pool table in the middle of the lounge! If you're sat with your back to it you keep getting hit by the players, and it really isn't the players fault, just not enough room for a pool table!Very unwelcoming to residents and visitors.nThe rooms are in a real need of renovation.nWe payed for a superior room and the rest of our family got standard rooms. Our room was by far the worst.nGreat pity because all the staff are excellent Wynham are really letting the hotel down.
