Haven’t tried any pastries or food yet, but the coffee here is great 10/10. I usually just get Long Black. The café is very cute, plus they also have heaters and blankets too, which are much needed right now
Gorgeous location in the middle of Newington green. Coffee is decent but nothing special. The food is generally really good! It’s a locally funded cafe which is great and really does have a community feel about it. Lots of local dog walkers and parents with chicken who have their school nearby come here. Great meeting point and lovely seating area for the summer / good weather
Staff was unpleasant. I ordered this "tomato and feta" roll but I could only see carrot; it tasted like curry, ginger, turmeric, not sure it had any feta or tomato in it and to make it worse it was dry. It took them over 10 minutes to heat it and it was still cold inside. The place is cute but I had a very unpleasant experience in general, especially considering everything is overpriced.

After helping to save Lizzys through their fundraiser they repay us by going cashless!@ using covid as an excuse!! Will not be using them anymore and hope that no one else does either this is Newington green and we are a community who deserve choice!!!
In reference to an earlier review, this cafe is neither pretentious nor over-priced. I had a hot fish sandwich and fruit juice and it cost me little more than a fiver. Frankly I wish more London parks had a small cafe with outdoor seating... just like this one.
Lizzy's is absolutely phenomenal. The Baps are amazing, the coffee very good. But the best part is the green. It's such a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely worth spending a nice morning with Lizzy's.
Because the food and coffee are very good here, low rating is purely down to the staff. Have been living locally for a few years and given it many chances as it’s in a great location right on the green, perfect for a morning coffee. But the staff are pretty unpleasant, which has lead me to stop going here. They have got my order wrong a couple times, which is fine, but they got very defensive and rude on both occasions. If you’re looking for a nice setting and good coffee, go here but be warned the staff are not going to help make it a pleasant experience
Cute little set up, brilliant idea. It's the kind of place you wish you had started. Coffe was decent, standard London prices. Friendly staff behind the counter and loads of variety to pick from for such a small place.
New favourite spot in Canonbury. The booster smoothie with fried egg bap in the sun was a perfect way to start the weekend.
