I was a student in Liverpool and used to walk through this station daily as a short cut to lectures! Great to return to Liverpool for work and the station has plenty of facilities and has improved since my student days. Impressed with the area for those passengers who require special assistance.
Lime Street is a good train station, though it could benefit from a warmer, more comfortable waiting area. Unfortunately, delays and cancellations are common, but that seems to be a widespread issue across the network.nnIf you’re looking for food or drinks, I’d recommend popping into the Tesco next to the station, it’s much cheaper than the shops inside Lime Street

Its an organized and well maintained busy station nestled in the heart of Liverpool's city.Serving as a major transportation hub and sets a majestic tone for travelers as they arrive.nThe station's extensive platform layout efficiently accommodates the numerous trains that pass through daily, connecting Liverpool to destinations across the country. Most of the time Sea gulls and pigeons are surrounded inside & outside the station without causing any difficulties. Pros : Easy access to the queen square bus station by a 4 min walk and also to other destinations of Liverpool.
It’s a very well maintained, clean station with plenty of food and drink options before your departure/upon arrival. Destinations to many parts of the UK direct, only downside are the lack of bins.
