Its an organized and well maintained busy station nestled in the heart of Liverpool's city.Serving as a major transportation hub and sets a majestic tone for travelers as they arrive.nThe station's extensive platform layout efficiently accommodates the numerous trains that pass through daily, connecting Liverpool to destinations across the country. Most of the time Sea gulls and pigeons are surrounded inside & outside the station without causing any difficulties. Pros : Easy access to the queen square bus station by a 4 min walk and also to other destinations of Liverpool.
This big old station has been so much better, ever since they reconfigured the platforms and got rid of that ridiculous queuing system for the InterCity trains.nnDouble glazed train shed with impressively-revealed glass front; the station shows its face to the city for the first time in decades. Sweeping steps to the fore; a true gateway to the city.nnEnter and find 10 platforms - to the left, lesser platforms lead to places like Blackpool these platforms have ticket gates; to the right, grand platforms lead to London, to Leeds and beyond. Many platforms have been lengthened. Long trains for the people.nnBehaviour here is generally good; although I’ve started to notice queues forming for individual doors. This isn’t appropriate and should stop.nnThere is a station pub, it’s a Wetherspoons and is tucked away in a corner, opposite platform one.
Pretty well-organized, tidy, looked-after and maintained station in the heart of Liverpool.nIt's dominating the area with its unique design and architectural feasibility.nI found it easy to navigate through the station despite visiting it for the first time.nThere are many options for food, drinks and snacks, including hot coffee, sandwiches, sweets etc.nPlenty of departure/arrival boards and information points can be found around the station in visible and well-accessible areas.nFurthermore, there are toilets including disabled toilets and baby change and numerous staff available to help in case one needs information, directions or any other form of help or assistance.nI can recommend it for travelling and short times of waiting for your train.
It's a fairly normal main line station. Plenty of screens and staff. Few shops for drinks, snacks etc and plenty of free toilets. Easy access to the Merseyrail network for local trains
