As I was waiting for my train, a mature in age person told me that the services were going down the hill.nI looked around and noticed clean stations, New electric trains, polite, helpful staff, on and off the trains.nThe grass is often greener on the other side of the hill.nnWe are privileged to have Mersey rail and some of us don't even know or appreciate it.nWould highly recommend.
Today we were in the station and would like to say the service was out standing, from the moment we got there ,special thanks to the young man who turned the escalator off for us
This was a great train station to depart from, with a large area for the many services! It is easy to navigate around using the signs and the accessibility level is proper, supported by escalators. All the departures are listed on a board and there is a regularly updated one on each platform, which have consistent colour schemes with Merseyride rail. The platform I used with my friend was appropriately sized for our train, however it was unfortunately delayed.
Kenny the deputy station manager here is the most loyal and committed person to the company! If every member of the team took a leaf out of his book, Mersey rail would be in the new era! I sat in the waiting lounge above as since December you can’t connect to the WiFi, nor can you look at one of the apps! Anyway, I kicked my lace out of my shoe while crossing my legs and a few moments later this amazing H&S god came over and made me aware! I was already aware but was in the middle of a text so was going to do it after. I’d of probably forgotten if he didn’t come over. Thank you for looking out for me and everyone else that uses the network! You’re a gem!! The company should be proud to have you fella!!!
Been using this station for over 40 years now. A lot of money has been spent to modernise central and it's worked! The station is bright and clean. As you walk in there's a good shop well stocked with newspapers/magazines/fresh coffee. Ticket purchase is quick and hassle free. There's loads of monitors around with up to the minute train/platform info. The toilets are well kept and free! There's loads of security/guards dotted around so it feels safe and they are very helpful. Seating is available whilst you wait. No issues here
