Lincolnshire Poacher

About

Serving 13 real ales, traditional cider, 60+ Single Malts, home cooked food and a fine selection of continental beers. We are the Lincolnshire Poacher

Story

The Lincolnshire Poacher has been part of Nottingham’s real ale drinking scene for so long that it’s easy to forget that it only opened in the late 1980′s, rising from the shell of the Old Grey Nags Head which had been closed by Shipstones.

In partnership with Wainfleet brewers, George Bateman & Sons Ltd, the ‘Poacher’ quickly earned a reputation as one of THE places in Nottingham for quality and choice of ale, a distinction it has never lost.

Alongside its excellent reputation for ale, the Lincolnshire Poacher is also part of a small group of Castle Rock pubs aiming to provide you with a dynamic and enlightening world beer experience, as part of our “Discover World Beers” initiative.

The large public bar is complemented by a large outside high walled beer garden.

Great ale - really good selection. Very friendly staff, by city standards
Carry out 30% discount, great beer and atmosphere
If you like kind of quiet chilled pubs then this is perfect. There's a big beer garden with covered and heated booths to chill in. There's also a huge range of beer and whiskey. Overall a good place.
A nice place to start the night just before heading into the city centre. Fantastic range of drinks. And nice little huts to sit in outside with the heater on. Toilets could do with an upgrade.
One of Nottingham's best pubs. Excellent range of real ales, I haven't counted the pumps but well above average about half are from Castle Rock Brewery the others are guest beers. Excellent ambiance, really friendly clientele and dogs are allowed. They also serve very good pub food.
Lovely traditional pub with a fantastic selection of real ales and really friendly staff. Sensibly priced beer. Clean and charismatic.
Castle Rock pub, excellent quality in everything they do. Excellent choice of beers and whiskies as well as food. Often have live music that can be variable. It even has a good smoking area.
