Traditional pub that has recently reopened. It's been spruced up nicely and offers a range of drinks from cask ale to ciders. I would have liked to see more variety in the cask section and perhaps a wider selection of craft beer available, but it's early days so hopefully that may happen in time. Note: my original rating was incorrect, I had accidentally clicked 3 not 4 stars, so have corrected this.
Fantastic to see to see one of Nottinghams iconic pubs reopened and sympathetically refurbished. A good job well done by all involved. Good range of drinks inc the currently popular Neck Oil. Sadly no keg bitter like Smiths or Worthingtons but that's a minor, personal gripe. Hope it stays busy. Congratulations.
Excellent little boozer! Friendly staff and dog friendly! Cozy lounge area with fireplace for relaxing! Great selection of drinks and reasonably priced too! Will definitely be visiting again!
Well what a pleasant surprise. This newly refurbished pub is exactly that... a nice place for a drink, welcoming to all and detailed with different bars for differing tastes. It also has the traditional, but seldom seen, 'bell call for service' facility within the Lounge area. I only visit Nottingham but would defo like this as a local and highly recommend you give this deserving pub a try. I shall return next time I visit this vibrant East Midlands city.
Great to see this place back in action. They've made a fantastic job
A fully vegan pub is a rare thing to find and this place didn't disappoint. We visited mid-afternoon and it was quiet but enjoyable as the music playing was very different and interesting. The decor in the main bar is nice but a little tired as the toilets were too, my only reason for not giving five stars. Food was brilliant. The tofu-fish was fantastic, perfect in fact. The leek and mushroom pie was very tasty and lovely pastry. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. We also got to try the aubergine and courgette cake which was absolutely delicious, just like carrot cake. Will definitely be back next time in Nottingham. Not all drinks are vegan but staff know which are/aren't so ask first.
It was fab, we were a group of 8 and were treated like royalty. It was truly lovely and the decor was stunning. Well done
Cracking new pub after an excellent refurb. Great range of drinks and super staff. Wish we lived closer.
Great Pub. The barman was so friendly, lovely and clean. Great atmosphere
