Update July 2024: cleanliness of the pool and changing rooms is disappointing. Black mould in the showers and detritus on the bottom of the pool is a put-off.nnNot the fanciest swimming pool in the world - not deep enough for diving, but it's warm and wet and quiet enough in the morning that I can get a good session of lane swimming in. Friendly staff and a good crowd of fellow swimmers too.
About a year on from my last visit at the swimming pool here and it’s so disappointing. The showers stay on for about 3 seconds before needing to be pressed again, out of 6 hairdryers only one works and barely, the bottom of the pool is covered in dirt :. Shame all those improvements made not long ago have either been done poorly or no one has maintained them.
Very good place. Well maintained. There was a confusion in our booking. Personnels Mr.Jamie and Mr.Tom went out of their way and moved the ping pong table to another studio with all their might and helped us out. Big thanks to both of them. Completely made our day. Will surely visit again.
Pleasantly surprised and impressed with the communal changing facilities compared to how I remember how it was many years ago, tidy and spacious with warm showers. Pool plenty warm enough resulting in pleasant session for myself and wife who hates swimming. Glad we didnt go to Cheadle now!
OK, this isn't one of those super pools that have the fancy wave machines, or strangely shaped pools though there's nothing wrong with the latter either!. It has five marked lanes, but I usually go when it's set up for lane swimming, which splits those five lanes into three. It's not particularly deep either. As well as the pool, there's a gym hall that hosts indoor football and other events.
